Just thought you peeps would like to know that there is mention of Jesus and John the baptist in another place than in the Bible. The Jewish War by Flavius JosephusI wrote this review on Audible.com of the book The Jewish War.Have you ever wondered what happened to the Temple? The Temple is the foundation for both Christian and Jewish Religions; this book gives light to that very topic. Also to my surprise was a mention of Jesus Christ, John the Baptist and the Apostles, although very brief I found it intriguing. This book has amazing detail and makes you see through the eyes of both the Jews and the Romans. I guarantee you that if you are interested in history, war, religion or even the current events of our own history you will enjoy this read as much as I have. The Book is just a treasure of valuable information and a must for all mankind. The book has extensive history that may be interesting for those who have the time to read or listen to the book. This book is the only record of what happend to the Temple.Ok just wanted to let you guys know. Have a nice day :-D

In a different post someone reminded me about e-sword.net and gave me a commentary outline from one of it resources. So I went to that site and while ther I looked at the what's new section and found the book you mentioned by Josephus "the Jewish War", it was one of the modules you can download and add to your e-sword. Just wanted to pass that along.

Just a word of caution about Josephus. His writings were propaganda documents written by a turn-coat Jew to present Jews as a people of long and honourable history and to show his own utter submission to the Roman authorities.Where his testimony endorses the Scripture we may take it at face value, otherwise it is mixture of legend, fable, fact and the Josephus 'spin'. Fascinating but not to be taken as 'gospel'!

Yes however Josephus wrote the only written record of the fall of the Temple...So there you have it.
Josephus though was not an eyewitness of the fall of the temple, so, his account is to be accepted as such.

Mr Jimmy according to the book which I have listened to twice, he was with Titus at the fall of The Jersulem on the Day the Temple was destroyed. He is the Only witness to the event that wrote an account.
