 Re:

Thank you, jimp however, now that you brought it to my attention and if i were to re-write it, I would use the preposition "of" as is given in Gal 2:20 in the KJV.

Try that out and see what your heart tells you. . )

 Re:

croref- please write out the Jn 3:16 verse with your preposition "of". I am not sure it makes sense.

Nor, really, does the KJV rendering of Gal 2:20 (I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.).

It seems obvious that we have to believe IN Jesus.

Gal 2:20 (KJV) seems to read that it is the faith of Jesus (and not our own) that allows a victorious walk. Whether this rendering is correct is, of course, debatable. The NKJV says "in".

Paul lived by the Faith OF Jesus Christ that could move mountains. That is the gift of Faith listed by him as one of the 9 Pentecostal gifts of the Spirit__not to be confused with saving faith which we must have for our initial salvation__for which the critical Greek does not make the distinction. This insight is the main reason for making the KJV the main translation.

Living by the Faith of Jesus Christ is to live by His Life which is just another way of saying one loves God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength__His Faith being the reciprocal.

I don't believe you will. It is all about, in a word, "intimacy" per the pursuit of John 17:3..

Ah, yes, union in the Godhead. What a privilege for those who love Him with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength!
