I seem to have come across a lot of Christian jargon lately and seem to lack understanding. I have read a few times a saying that some people are part of a Lazarus generation and others part of an Elisha generation. It sounds like prophetic speak to me.Any ideas?
QUOTE: have read a few times a saying that some people are part of a Lazarus generation and others part of an Elisha generation. I am not a prophet, but.l..The only idea that comes to mind is JESUS, then again which Lazarus are you referring too, the one that died or the one that was raised?Ahhh Elisha, a Great Man performed many miracles. But, Jesus now he is the arthur of ALL generation, past, present, and future.
Well it seems as though other people don't understand the terms Lazarus generation / Elisha generation either. I guess the only label I would like to see and wouldn't object to is the term REVIVAL GENERATION!! O for our generation to repent, pray and hunger after God like there is no tomorrow. I was spending time with God the other day and penned this poem.OUR CONFESSIONWe confess O Lord how we've failed you,We have neglected to pray and to fast,We walk in our sin and indifference,Yet in pride, your blessing we ask.Your holiness, majesty and splendour,Cannot reside where sinfulness reigns,Our filthiness is an abhorrence,To your holy and righteous ways.So we humbly confess now our sinOf our selfish and cold, barren hearts,We need your Holy Ghost fire,To convict, renew and inspire.Revive us in this generation,Purge now our hearts, make us clean. We're lonely for your living presence,In our lives let your kingdom be seen.Keep on keeping on.
