 God Is Still With You

In rough times you may be wondering where is God, but he is still there. And he can turn things around. Right in the midst of your hard times that thing can change. And God can do it in a way that people will see that God is with you. Take Isaac in chapter 26 of Genesis, when there was a famine he sowed and reaped an hundredfold. He was so blessed that the people asked him to leave. And after he left they came to him again to make a covenant between them, because they said, "We saw certainly that the Lord was with thee". Notice they saw that God was with him and your hard times is Just another chance for people to see that God is with you.

How about Joseph he was sold into slavery by his brothers and the scripture says, and the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man. In the midst of his worst situation the Bible says he was prosperous, how. When you have God with you then you have more than what you need. In verse 2 of Genesis 39 it says, "And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand." Notice he saw that the Lord was with him. In the midst of slavery God's goodness could still be seen. And in the midst of your worst situation God is able to make his goodness seen. And when you think things couldn't get worse Joseph gets put in prison and yet the scripture says, "But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison." The keeper of the prison put Joseph in charge and everything he did, the Lord made it to prosper. God can prosper you in any situation. In fact Joseph went from slave to being second in command under pharoah.

How about the children of Isreal, after Joseph died there arose a new king that decided there were too many of them so he decided to afflict them, but notice in the 12th verse of Exodus chapter 1, the more they afflicted them the more they multiplied and grew. God knows how to prosper you even when those in authority have plans that could afflict you. God was with his people and he showed his presence. When all the plagues came upon Egypt not one plague came upon Goshen where the children of Isreal was. God put a dividing line between the Egyptians and his people. In verses 22 and 23 of Exodus chapter 8 God said, "And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth. And I will put a division between my people and thy people: tomorrow shall this sign be." And when the swarms of flies came they knew the dividing line that they could not cross. God is able to establish a dividing line that when things come upon others around you, but not come near you. So I just want to encourage you that no matter what you are going through God is still with you and He knows how to see you through and have those around you see that your God is with you.
