Democrats Affirm Everything God Hates, Says John MacArthur

America is on the path toward destruction as the country is obsessed with sex, murdering the unborn and approving of sinful behavior such as homosexuality, said evangelical pastor John MacArthur.

"I don't know how much time America has left," he said in a poignant message preached last month at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, Calif. "We're on a course described here (in Scripture) as God casting us out."

MacArthur warned that the United States is "living in the outpouring of the wrath of God." And that wrath is specifically the wrath of God abandoning the nation. When God abandons a nation, He gives the people over to the consequences of their behavior, the pastor noted. That society first becomes pornographic and obsessed with sex, and then it sees "degrading" passions and diseases such as homosexuality and HIV/AIDS. And lastly, the people become haters of God, MacArthur listed in ...

Can't disagree with anything he said. Or what they said he said.

Jeremiah was taken away to Babylon, along with those who were worshipping idols.

God is merciful, but even He has a limit. He has shown us so in His word.

God bless.

"The Democratic Party has now made the sins of Romans 1 their agenda," he said in his message. "What God condemns, they affirm. What God punishes, they exalt.

"No wonder they didn't want 'God' in their original platform."

MacArthur went further to suggest that voters affiliated with the Democrat Party "rethink" their party identification.

The influential author stated clearly that he isn't getting political with his sermons. This has to do with Scripture, he said.

"This has nothing to do with politics. This has to do with speaking the Word of God to the culture in which we live," he stated. "Why do we say this? Because this must be recognized for what it is – sin, serious sin, damning sin, destructive sin.

"We get all caught up in the politics of this issue. That isn't the issue. It's about whether this society exists in the future at all. The land is so defiled, God will spew it out. First, He abandons it and then He destroys it."

 Re:

It is disheartening o see this respected Bibke teacher making political statements. The strength of John MacArthur's ministry was his unwavering commitment to teach the word. Now he has succumbed to tbe temptation to be almost political.

I an almost afraid to ask if John MacArthur would support a Mormon for President. I respected him when he held tbe position Christians should not be involved in politics. This was a strength in MacArthur's ministry. Now I fear he is another evangelical pastor making political rhetoric. So disheartening. But then their is much that disheartens God about the American church.

As I posted in another thread. Persecution must come upon tbe American church to bring out a purified faith remnant who will follow Jesus.

I must say I believe Dr. MacArthur pretty much nailed it. But, what saddens me is some of the responses at the bottom of the article from Christians. I have heard Dr. MacArthur speak regarding Christians and politics before and I wouldn't necessarily take his rebuke of the Democratic party as endorsement of the mormon candidate. But, his intent may be perhaps for those who name the name of Christ to examine who they are standing with and the platform they are embracing and making an effort to assert.

 Re:

JD that may be. At least I get that impression. But when pastors deviate from tbe gospel and get into even the hint of politics. There ministry loses power.

Living in Arkansas I am aware of a well known Southern Baptist Minister turned politician. Even ran for President once. He is now a FOX conservative talk show host. How could one ever turn away from preaching tbe glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and get into tbe curse of politics I never know. But thus nan surely has no power in his ministry. But then he gas no ministry.

It seems the devil tempts pastors to turn away from their spiritual calling to indulge in temporal politics. Their ministry loses power. Praise God I heard men last weekend who have a heart for the tbe things of Christ. And not afraid to declare his gospel.

My thoughts.

 Government is like a Car

I am a passenger in this government (just passing through)... I have a unique responsibility to maintain it... NOT TRUST IT... Just as I allow my car to carry me down the road... This government was designed to carrying my family down a moral path (laws), an economic path, and a international path .
My responsibility is to look "under the hood" AND "down the road" and make the necessary repairs, and replacements, being mindful of the direction it is taking me.
Just as when I ignore the needs of my car I put my family in danger... so also when I ignore the needs of my government I put my family in danger.

In biblical times there was NOT a government of the people by the people and for the people... designed to be accountable to God fearing people.

Sadly, some God fearing people have chosen to leave the responsibility of "looking under the hood" to the godless... and then complain about the direction of the government.

Again, I trust the government about as much as I trust my car... but, I DO get involved with both of their maintenance... because they carry my family down the road at lethal speeds.

 Re:

Bearmaster,

Since when is preaching against abortion, homosexuality, and removing God from our vocabulary not the gospel?

EVERYTHING is religious, brother, even "politics". The gospel touches every aspect of life.
