Hi John,

At this time you are just spiritually worn down. The numbness you feel is common after a long period of defeat and struggle, seeing just problems and no solutions, feeling abandoned by your Father and not knowing how to return - spiritual exhasution.

Dealing with the demonic is not difficult. You have far more power than they have. You have the authority to force them out of your life. However, when you are living in despair and doubt, you can not summon that power to overcome them.

It is important to deal with your sin. That definitely is one gateway for the demonic to take authority over you. If it is a sin issue, 1 John 1:9 gives a very simple solution to restoration.

However, it is probably a guilt issue, and a focus on ourselves, and our problems. You know we need the mind of Christ. Paul said, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus...."

We all go through a period of wildnerness wandering in our Christian experience. This follows our exodus from our sinful Egypt experience. It necessarily precedes our warfare experience in the promised land.

When we are in the wilderness, we feel abandoned, confused, and not knowing where to turn for help. This is quite common.

You know the Word. Now you need specific direction from your heavenly Father to lead you out of the wilderness. Get into a quiet place for some time. When the negative thoughts come, you KNOW the source. They are NOT from your Father. Tell them to leave, and then invite your Father to come.

Ask Him to speak to you, leading you to a passage, or perhaps telling your what corrective action to take. The answer may come right then. Or you may need to be aware of what happens that or the following day. Be aware of what comes to mind, what people tell you, what you hear on the radio, what you read, what you feel like you should read in the Word.

Your Father will speak to you in many ways. So will the demonic. You need to discern whose voice, whose direction, you are receiving. If it leads to despair, hopelessness, fear, anything negative ... you KNOW that voice and the source, it is demonic, resist it. Tell it you will not listen.

When you Father speaks, He comes with peace, love, confidence, faith. When you hear Him, invite Him and encourage Him to say more. Above all, immediately obey what He is telling you ... just DISCERN the voice.

As you make this transition, you communing with your Father will return. For so long you have been communing the darkness, and they have led you away from your Father. They have shown you every reason to doubt and despair. You know exactly what I mean. Resist that. Send it away. Quote a favorite passage that strengthens you and gives you hope.

Learn to love unconditionally, as you once did.

When you first do this, your Father will come to you clearly, graciously. He will be there for you. Do whatever He tells you, looking up the passage He directs you to, etc.

Obey Him. Love Him.

We are told about the sacrifice of praise and the sacrifice of thanksgiving. These are very restorative. If they are done during your time of spiritual prosperity, they are not sacrifices. When you are despairing ... you do not want to be thankful or to praise ... that is the only time they can be sacrifices. As best you can, offer the sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving. When you do not FEEL like doing it, do it out of obedience, then feeling will follow obying.

Sorry, I am not giving you references, I am very late for my work (self-employed), but I can later give you the references and quotes. You know the Word enough to know what I am speaking of, though.

Do not depend on the prayers of others ... not to denegrate anyone ... but the kingdom of Heaven is within you, tap into that, be confident that you have access.

Remember, when you think you are being rejected by your Father ... Satan is the Accuser of the brethren, not of the world ... so ignore that voice, know that He loves you, and that even though you do not have the right FEELINGS, it is never a matter of feeling, but of obedience. Obey first, then the broken ability to feel will be restored to you.

Father, grant peace and the power of your Spirit to penetrate the demonic blindness that has overwhelmed your child, John.

I like your psuedonym, Brother! I read your posts and prayed for you.

I am very sorry that you are going through this. One thing for sure is that you are suffering through some pain or illness of the body.

Remember what the Bible tells us about another way to respond to sickness?

James 5:14: Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.

I did this once when I was very, very, very ill. I was only in my twenties and it was almost unbearable. There was a lady who lived behind us. She is in glory now, but at the time, she worked as a custodian in the same state hospital where my mother worked. Her name was "Gloria".

She often came to visit and would speak such wonderful things about the Lord. She knew him and he knew her. When I became very ill, I asked my mother to send for Gloria to come to my bedside and pray over me (as it says in James 5:14). I thought she was an elder because she was way older than me and knew and loved the Lord Jesus.

It worked, brother! Why? Because that's what God promised in His Word.

I don't know about all of this "demon-stuff" and do not want to - but I do know that our Lord Jesus always keeps His promises. Do as James 5:14 says and you will be just fine, Brother! I just know it!

John, as I was reading I felt in my spirit that you was walking in reverse of your faith.... Flip your thinking brother..Through the Power of God.. The word of God is just ink between the pages of a book. But, the Lord's words are Spirit & Life... Abide in Him...... Dye out to the desires of the flesh (You got to bring your inner will in submission of the Spirit of God) Romans 8:6,
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Galatians 6:8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
(You may say, I am a christian, and I pray, and so on, and on.) Most will profess that they know Christ, but their heart is far from Him, Maybe you do know the Lord, but maybe you havnt went through the sanctification process. The reason that I can say this is this..Romans 8:13 For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, (There will not be any openings for demonic spirits within our flesh, or around us.. Romans 8:1,
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, (who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.) Notice how brother Paul finish that verse...
Also, chew on these as well. Romans 13:14,
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

The vary things that you dwell on (and accept as truth, such as the things that you speak out, which is always followed by actions, is the direct form of faith that you have within your heart. Rather that be dead faith (Or, active faith) Christ type of Faith can only be received from the word of God (Jesus) Romans 10:17. John 6:56,
He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, (dwelleth in me, and I in him.) 1 John 3:24 Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. 1 John 2:24 See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. John 17:23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. Brother stand on the promises of God... do not accept any thought that exalts itself above the knowledge of God... 2 Corinthians 10: 3-6 “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds:) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:22-24 – “…to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” Galatians 5:16,
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
How do you do this? Put on Christ (By abiding in His word) He is the Spirit of His Word, as well as His Life. Allow Him to build His solid foundation within your heart... I will continue to pray for you... God bless, and much love
