I was thinking that some of the threads shared have been centered on getting ready or being prepared for coming persecutions, trails, and tribulations. I have been thinking and praying on this. What exactly does one do to prepare for what is still to come?
Here are some scripture that the LORD placed on my heart. I am sure there are many more...
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is Gods will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:57-58).
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer (Romans 12:11-12).
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:4-7).
And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good (2 Thessalonians 3:13).
(Revelation 19:7) Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His Bride (the church) has made herself ready.
I think these are some good places to begin preparing our hearts in what ever the LORD may have for us in the days, weeks, months,or years ahead according to HIS will.
