Saints,I believe more then ever and agree with Tozer that we have lost much of the concept and actual sense of the Holiness of God. We do not want our morality, words, mind, and spirit to have to under the weight of a holy God but we want to be free to allow our flesh to have reign. May we be people who seek to be holy as God is holy and recognize and respect God's Holy Character.I highly recommend everyone listening through this 3 part series. Before I listen to these I just wanted to mention something. The Brother was born in 1897, he lived through several major revivals that has swept the United States and Europe. He lived till 1963, between the time that he became a Christian to the time of his death, I am very concerned about Christianity because if the title suggests that Christianity has lost the Holiness of God, EVEN during his time, how will we ever be Holy?We have heard of all the great Revivals that have come and gone, if the people that were stirred to repentance and many sought God, and many had gone on to become great men of God in their day, and if Christianity has lost the Holiness of God, then no man has been holy in the last century, how will we ever be holy in our day? The times are far worse because of the media, we are in a far worse predicament than they were and they had a level of righteousness in the land, today those tables are being overturned. If they could not be holy, how shall we?I needed to address that saints because I feel we are all doomed to failure seeing that if believing men have lost the Holiness of God during our dear Brother Tozers day and the temptations in our day have increased exponentially, we'll never make it. Yes, through Christ all things are possible, but wasn't that promise good for them during the time that Christianity had lost the Holiness of God in Tozers day? These are my concerned thoughts.God Bless
Hi Approved,Having read much of Tozer I believe that Tozer always had the big picture in mind, looking down the last 2000 years of Christian history. I believe that much of the time Tozer was used prophetically. Just as Prophets of old spoke to the condition of Israel, then I believe that prophets often speak to the condition of Christendom as a whole, which of course is why they are not popular.....bro Frank
