The Apostle Paul said in 2Corinthians 4:18 "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." Notice he said don't put your focus on what you can see, but on what you can't see. And a lot of times we get so engrossed with the problem that it's all we focus on and we line ourselves up with the problem. We think it, we talk it, and we walk in it. We want to call our friends and tell them all about it and that's the opposite of what the scripture says. You as a child of God has to be especially careful of what you say in times of trouble. You don't need to tell all your friends and have them agree with you because the Bible say, "In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." So the more people agree with you the more it's settled in your life. And you as a child of God has to understand the power that God has invested in your words. The finished work of Jesus on the cross has benefits for you today. In Ecclesiastes 8:4 it says, "Where the word of the king is there is power: and who may say to him, What doest thou." Well, what do kings do they make a decree and it is carried out. That goes along with Job 22:28 "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto you." You don't have to let your trouble dictate what will be, you have some say about what happens. You don't even have to argue with the devil because he has no say you have all the authority. In Deuteronomy 21:5 it says, at the word of the priest shall every controversy and every stroke be tried(settled). So don't let the devil get the last word you open your mouth and answer him. Now you might say what does that have to do with me, it goes back to the finished work of Jesus. Because in Revelations 1:6 it says Jesus Christ has made us kings and priests unto God. So it's your words that have the power. You have the last word not the devil. So in your time of trouble make sure you get your words right.
