 This world can't satisfy

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2Corinth.5:17

"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation."Gal.6:15

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Eph.2:10

"and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness."Eph.4:24

"and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,"Col. 3:10

We are a new creation but living within the old. This is why we are so dissatisfied.

We are dissatisfied with this world system that just doesn't seem to work and we can see all the things that are wrong with it and wonder why man can't see it and fix it.But it seems to stumble on.

We are dissatisfied with this body this old creation with all it's pain and suffering and are grateful for the success man has accomplished in giving us some relief but we desire more and have hope that medical science can find more way's to relieve our pain. But we seem to stumble on.

We are dissatisfied with this "old man, this body of death, this sinful nature, this flesh"that keeps trying to convince us that this world system, this old creation can bring us satisfaction. And we stumble on.

We're not at home. This is not our home. We're out of place. We have a hunger and desire that this world outside and within can never satisfy. We are a new person that will never be satisfied in this world as it stands. Our longing and desires are far far above and beyond ANYTHING this world can produce.

"Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body." Rom.8:23

 Re: This world can't satisfy

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:

“ For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Rom. 8:35-37

(Literally)"Yet in the midst of all these things"

We can know the joy of the Lord BECAUSE of these things that seem to overwhelm us and not IN SPITE of them.

As in the song "Blessings"

"What if my greatest disappointments

Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy"
