So I go to the ap store with this new I-pad to get a Bible. After reading the reviews, it looks like there is no good Bible to download. Yikes! To be sure, the "You-Bible" which is free on line, is excellent. It is easy to work and find things, and you can flip among many popular translations. But I would like to have one that is available in a real download. Has anyone found one that you like?

There are several options. The YouVersion Bible app allows you to read 208 translation in up to 75 languages. You can download many of the translations to carry with you offline but you need to sign up first so that you can log in to download. Some popular translations are not available for download because of copyright issues however there are other options. Another great feature is that you can listen to the audio version of many translations for free if you are connected over 3G or Wifi There is a free app from Tecarta that allows you to get KJV and then add other translations, some of which are available for a fee via IAP (in app purchase). Another good app I have found is the free ESV app from CROSSWAY. This app allows a free flow between chapters and includes all the cross references. The King James also available for free through iBooks from the Gutenburg Project. ESV is also available free through iBooks. Sometimes it's good to ignore the negative reviews and just download an app. You can always delete the app. If you want to get it again you can find the app through store and download it again for free. This is the same for books as well. The only problem with deleting is that you will lose your notes and bookmarks. I hope this helps.
Thank you! I downloaded a nkjv version for not too much money, we'll see how it goes.
