Unreached of the Day: 02/17/2012 (Friday) - Fulani, Toroobe of Nigeria

Fulani, Toroobe of Nigeria
The Fulani have been largely responsible for introducing and spreading Islam throughout much of western Africa. They have been a nomadic people and influential in regional politics, economics, and histories throughout western Africa for over a thousand years. The height of the Fulani empire was between the early 1800s and early 1900s, being consolidated under Usman dan Fodio and centered in northern Nigeria.

Ministry Obstacles
The Fulani have followed Islam for centuries, giving them a worldview not easily influenced by the good news about Christ.

Outreach Ideas
Sustained, focused prayer is needed to help the Fulani come to a sufficient understanding of who Jesus truly is, the Son of God. Spiritual truths are spiritually discerned, and prayer is needed.

Pray for the followers of Christ
There are only a few followers of Christ among the Toroobe Fulani. Pray their faith will become firmly established on the truth of Scripture.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray for the Fulani to find Isa (Jesus) of the Koran of increasing interest, someone to study. Pray for their curiosity to be satisfied.

Scripture Focus
"After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb." Revelation 7:9

Dear Jesus-is-GOD,

When you say "We have the means", what exactly do you mean? wmpress has tracts available in that language according to the link that you gave. Are a part of World Missionary Press? Do you all have contacts in that country that use those tracts?

Hi Brother. When I say "we", I mean, ALL of us have the means in which these "Unreached" can be reached. All it takes is money sent to some of these literature ministries and a little investigating into means of delivery.

Finding solutions is what I thought we could/should do with these type threads and not just leave them "unreached".

Here's a list of other Resources that have literature, etc in their language, from off of the link that Greg posted.
Each is a live link on that page, to these ministries...

Audio Recordings MegaVoice Audio Bible and Stories
Audio Recordings Audio Scripture Ministries
Audio Recordings Faith Comes By Hearing
Audio Recordings Global Recordings
Audio Recordings Gospel Widgets
Audio Recordings Talking Bibles - New Testament
Film / Video Gods Story
Film / Video Jesus Film, versions available
Film / Video Jesus Film: view in Hausa
Film / Video World Christian Videos
General Bible Visuals
General Evangelism Toolbox
General Four Spiritual Laws
Printed Matter Fathers Love Letter
Printed Matter Literacy & Evangelism Internation
Printed Matter Multi-Language Media
Printed Matter No Frontiers Literature
Printed Matter World Christian Tract Ministry
Scripture Bible-in-Your-Language
Scripture World Missionary Press Booklets
Scripture World Scriptures

All it takes is for us to give help to anyone of these ministries and GOD always has his ways of delivering. That is true.

[I've supported and promoted WMP for a long time, because I know how much of what they bring in goes into the booklets and how much goes into the workers salaries.]

 Re:

THANKS for explaining. I really appreciate the fact that Brother Greg is putting these unreached groups on the website each day. Sometimes we need a wake-up-call or reality check to bring us into the awareness of how really bad things are. Sometimes we think that we are sacrificing and giving all that we can, but then we read about such a great need that others have, and God shows us that we can sacrifice just a little more.

It takes money - as much as we can give - and it also takes much prayer and fasting. It is true that "GOD always has his ways of delivering". He does so when we fulfill Mat. 9:38.

Mat 9:37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Mat 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

We will never understand God's ways ... they are too much higher than ours ... but a great and important part of His plan in sending is that first His people earnestly appeal before His throne for labourers to be sent. In the late 1800s and early 1900s the majority of the churches in the USA met each night of the first week or two of each new year to spend praying for the heathen peoples who had no knowledge of God. May God help us to spend and be spent that others may hear and repent.

What beautiful words. So refreshing to hear, Brother.

I just read Spurgeon for today [evening] and copied it because it was equally convicting.

Thank you!!

Quote:

""He first findeth his own brother Simon."—John 1:41.

THIS case is an excellent pattern of all cases where spiritual life is vigorous. As soon as a man has found Christ, he begins to find others. I will not believe that thou hast tasted of the honey of the gospel if thou canst eat it all thyself. True grace puts an end to all spiritual monopoly. Andrew first found his own brother Simon, and then others. Relationship has a very strong demand upon our first individual efforts. Andrew, thou didst well to begin with Simon. I doubt whether there are not some Christians giving away tracts at other people's houses who would do well to give away a tract at their own—whether there are not some engaged in works of usefulness abroad who are neglecting their special sphere of usefulness at home. Thou mayst or thou mayst not be called to evangelize the people in any particular locality, but certainly thou art called to see after thine own servants, thine own kinsfolk and acquaintance. Let thy religion begin at home. Many tradesmen export their best commodities—the Christian should not. He should have all his conversation everywhere of the best savour; but let him have a care to put forth the sweetest fruit of spiritual life and testimony in his own family. When Andrew went to find his brother, he little imagined how eminent Simon would become. Simon Peter was worth ten Andrews so far as we can gather from sacred history, and yet Andrew was instrumental in bringing him to Jesus. You may be very deficient in talent yourself, and yet you may be the means of drawing to Christ one who shall become eminent in grace and service. Ah! dear friend, you little know the possibilities which are in you. You may but speak a word to a child, and in that child there may be slumbering a noble heart which shall stir the Christian church in years to come. Andrew has only two talents, but he finds Peter. Go thou and do likewise."
