 Re:

we cant seperate christs writtern word from the literal person

that would to be to sever the gosple from god

it cant be done the word is a part of jesus
it is the writtern expression , of who he is ,and what he demands
when you serperate the two ,you recreate who christ is

there is another jesus mentioned by the aposal paul
and another spirit

and when the writtern word is serperated from the person who is the word ,,this other jesus rises up in to a posision of power and influence

this is the knostic christ
this is the islamic christ
this is the hindo christ
this is the jehovawitness christ
this is liberal christ

this is not the christ of the scripture

lets not misunderstand one another
we wage the same war
and we are on the side of the christ of the scriture

we can empesise the person
we can empesise the word of that person

but let us godforbid never ever seperate the two , and teach people to lose sight of the marriage ,of jesus ,and his spoken word ,,the revalation of god to the sons and daughters of adam ,let ther be no devorce ,

my words will never pass away ,let heaven and earth be rolled up and changed ,my words will never change

let us esemt the person and his words ,which emenate from him

lets look upon the art experessed from christs mouth ,as part of him

let us repent ,and believe the gosple

let us trust not only in the person ,but also in his profetcal promise and words

what does it mean believe the gosple
what does it mean to believe christ

can we seperate the two

or are they one

Bless The LORD GOD ALL-Mighty. What a prophetic word that you just posted, Brother.
Amen to those words - Amen!!

I am still getting these verses, as that thread I posted, I think it was, two weeks ago. I was going to post them onto that same thread just now that's titled "And many shall be offended" but I believe I'm to post those verses here, now.

Amen, Brother. 'Both' The Word of GOD made flesh and The written Word of GOD - They 'ARE' One.

Only Satan himself would desire to rob The Word of GOD From us. It's our sword that defeats him. It cost Christ His blood and the blood of His servants to deliver it to us and oh there's so much more that we can say of it all.

------------------------------------------------------------

Offended at what? "THE WORD OF GOD" 'LIVING' within any of us!

Jesus told us that if they hated Him, Who 'is' The WORD of GOD, they'll hate those that are filled with The Word of GOD.

"And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold."

[Mat 24:10-12]

Eph 5:26,27 That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by The Word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious Church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

"Cleansed with the washing of water by His Word"

1John 5:6 This is He that came by 'water' and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, 'but by water And blood'. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is Truth.

John 6:63 It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: The Words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit, and they are Life.

"Cleansed with the washing of water by His Word"

And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and His hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and His eyes were as a flame of fire; and His feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace;
and His voice as the sound of many waters. [Rev 1:13-15]

Eze 43:2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east:
and His voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with His glory.

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a Name written that no man knew but He Himself and He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His Name is called The Word of GOD. [Rev 19:12,13]

Re: NOT A WORD OF CHRIST SHALL EVER FAIL

The most Satanically 'subtle' false teachers and false prophets that Jesus warned of, may use up to 99% Truth but add just 1% of poison - that "new thing" that contradicts the bulk of The WORD of GOD. Just enough of poison to render their victims disabled, ie. Not an Overcomer in the days ahead.

We've seen them rising up with either a serious eschatological lie, over-emphasis on the Spirit over The Word of GOD or those that call obedience "works" or legalism - leaving off Romans 6 & 8 in order to stress one small point in 7 - etc..
The only way to spot these deadly mixes is to know His Word well, by ourselves and for ourselves and seek His help with prayers to not be deceived.

Quote from the book -"Strange Fire: The Rise of Gnosticism in the church"
by Travers and Jewel van der Merwe

"The Peril of the Gnostic Voice"

"The "Christian Gnostic" religion is a mystical form of godliness experienced intuitively and all too often is construed to represent the Presence or Voice of the Holy Spirit. The peril of this concept relegates the inspiration of the Scriptures to a subordinate position to personal "inspiration" or to "private interpretation" of Scripture.
It is quite commonplace to read or hear messages sometimes by popular preachers saying, "Hear from God". This emphasis is ostensibly to improve a Christian's quality of life. The problem with this well-sounding phrase is that it invariably disregards the written Word of God and gives 'self' preference over the Word of God. Christians hooked on "hear from God" without regard to Holy Scripture are not only open to serious error, but also disposed to strong delusions. This could lead to a self-centred "cult like" religion 'at the expense of' God's precious written Word.
If a man truly hears from God, he will reverence and honour the written Word of God more than ever and over everything else. Many Christians are into a form of Gnosticism dangerous to themselves and to others. They have a real problem distinguishing the voice of God from their own thoughts, feelings and imagination. The reason is they don't align their minds with the written Word of God. Many have never learned to understand their experiences in the light of Holy Scriptures. How can anyone know God's voice or will apart from Scripture and how can anyone know the truth of God if he allegorises the Scripture or takes a text out of context in support of his own ideas, thoughts and wishes? Any other way of assuming to know God's voice apart from Scripture is perilous. However God chooses to minister to His children will always confirm and accord with Holy Scripture.
The Gnostic school of thought subtly divides the ministry of the Holy Spirit from the Holy Scriptures. This position demises the Scriptures and pits the church against God's final voice of authority. The switch of emphasis to the Holy Spirit at the expense of the Scriptures is seen by some as a "New Thing" that God is doing in the believer and the world. This is a strong delusion."

Quote: Art Katz -

"Now I want to tell you the last and cruellest of our deceptions – it is our concern to be understood and to be perceived in the way we would like men to acknowledge us spiritually. And until we are blind to men, even to the ‘spiritual man’ that we think ourselves to be or who we desire to be known as, we cannot serve God apostolically . We must come to such a selflessness, such a mindlessness about this last man, this last cruel deceiver, who, after we have given up every other form, yet retains this kind of power by which we are traduced and compromised; the necessity to be understood by men in the way that we would wish ourselves to be seen and to be approved! We need to come to place where we see no man, even our own man, even our own seeing!"

Tit 2:11-15 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

 Re:

Amen, Brother Gary. That quote came from the Article section in Brother Jeremy221's thread "Apostolic Vision".
Just that one paragraph alone that's quoted above is deep enough to spend a lifetime to see what's being said - though we could surely pray that we'd grasp it much-much sooner than that.
Brought this verse to mind - Prov 29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

Wesley said of that verse - "A snare - Is an occasion of many sins."

GOD Bless you & yours.

 Re:

It is not just to be read, as in reading a book, the written word is SO MUCH MORE THAN A BOOK, that is where many go wrong in the beginning.
It is as reading a captivating love letter from the one who loves you. It is ALL WRITTEN with the intent on personal intimate relationship and fellowship and to bring us to KNOW HIM, know His thoughts, His history, His ways. It is not just history or a great mystery or for mental titallating..... It is realizing the words penned are to you, very personally written from the one who created you and desires for you to KNOW Him intimately and fellowship with Him. The children of Israel knew the "works" of God BUT Moses knew HIM & HIS WAYS. The pharisees knew the written word yet did not recognize the living word.
Many study to know the word of God but His children seek to know the God who IS the word. Vast difference. He is living NOW.
