Online! | William Booth's Amazing Visions - new book | | Saints,
Brother David Ravenhill has reprinted this powerful book and has made it available again to the body of Christ. I feel this is an important book to be read and may God use it to startle us back to the doctrine and reality of eternal punishment, hell and the lostness of men.
--
General William Booth the founder of The Salvation Army recalls the five visions he received from the Lord. Listen as he describes what he saw. "I was alone in heaven! My thoughts went back to earth, and as though by an angel's hand, the history of my past life was unrolled before my eyes. What a record it was! ...for it described in detail the objects that had influenced me during my earthly career. It set forth the purpose for which my thoughts and feelings and activities had been mainly spent and brought forth the ends for which I had employed my time, my money, my influence, and all other talents and gifts God had entrusted me to use for His glory and the salvation of men."

| Re: | | Just bought it (kindle version) and here is a quote:
In answer to your inquiry, I consider that the chief dangers that confront the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and heaven without hell. General William Booth

| Re: William Booth's Amazing Visions - new book | | A few years back, I discovered a beautifully bound old book called "Aggressive Christianity" in a second-hand bookshop. I bought it for next to nothing, but soon found that I struck gold with it. It was by his wife, Catherine Booth, and makes for very Blessed reading. Maybe I'll post some extracts from it ...
Thank you for this. I posted the quote on FB, and it resounded with a few hearts.

| Re: sarahsdream | | Sarah,
I don't understand your posting of that link... did William Booth write "Oaks of Righteousness"? I know in your mind it seems to tie together (changed wording). How does that article tie to William Booth?
Thanks and God bless, Lisa

| Re: Free Christian ebooks for Kindle | | Hi Lysa, I love my kindle also. I use calibre software to make Word documents and webpages into ebooks as well as buy many titles from Amazon. I want to share with you a website that lists hundreds of free Christian ebooks for Kindle:
http://www.lwbc.co.uk/ePub/Kindle/kindle.htm
You will notice that they have Catherine Booth's "Agressive Christianity." I just found this site and find it to be a true blessing. I'm sure you will too. Check out Matthew Henry's "A Discourse on Meekness and Quietness of Spirit." Grace and favor to you from God, TW |

| Re: Great Kindle books for cheap (Booth, Finney, Muller and many more) | | Hi all,
If you're into eBooks (for Kindle) and looking for some great Classic Christian ones, check out: http://christianclassicbooks.blogspot.com/p/title.html
They've got a 7-in-1 book of Catherine Booth (only $4.00 I think), which includes "Aggressive Christianity" as well as many others. Also, William Booth's hard-to-find "The Seven Spirits" (under $3.00). Plus they have some great collections on Revival, Prayer, Power, etc.
I've got their book "The 7 Top Prayer Classics" - and it's fantastic! (Under $5.00 for 7 books).
Hope this helps, Jon
(Note, while these one's aren't free, they are edited and better quality, with working table of contents (etc) as compared to the ones found on archive.org) |
