The Blood Of Jesus Christ Cries From The Cross For Us by Sarah Foulkes Moore

The people of God will not be able to face the Satanic flood with which we are confronted today, except as they learn to wield the victory of Calvary in a clear, ringing testimony to Satan’s defeat.

"The Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). Many see Satan’s power in the world. Few see his defeat at the Cross. To proclaim Satan’s defeat is a part of the Gospel.

In Revelation 12:11 we are told Satan is overcome by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of our testimony. In James 4:7 we are told to resist the devil, and he will flee from us. By these spiritual weapons we are to pull down the strongholds of evil in our home and nation.

Because we have failed to appropriate the fact that Satan is overcome through the Blood of Jesus, he has all but overcome us. God’s covenant with Israel was, "When I see the blood, I will pass over you" (Ex. 12:13).

This blood covenant has never been revoked. It is an everlasting covenant by which God Himself, through the all-atoning Blood of His Calvary Son, redeemed us from sin and Satan and made us Christ’s purchased possession.

Egypt is a type of the world. Pharaoh is a type of Satan. Israel’s deliverance from both was accomplished through the shed and sprinkled blood of the paschal lamb, pointing toward the Blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God.

All victory in Christian experience comes through depending on the finished work of Christ on the Cross. God honors the Blood of His Son. In coming to God in prayer with the Blood of His only begotten Son, we come with credentials that give us admittance to His Throne room and make available His power in securing for us all things that pertain unto life and godliness (2 Pet. 1:3).

The New Testament promise reads, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions [types of Satan’s power], and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you" (Luke 10:19). In Exodus, chapter 12, God reveals that His deliverance from Satan’s evil power and oppression is wrought through the Blood.

Many of the Lord’s people today are in trouble. The reason is, they are depending on something else besides the Blood of Jesus to render Satan powerless in their home and affairs. Our redemption from sin and Satan was purchased with Christ’s own Blood, and we must never come to God without our purchase price, the Blood of Jesus, the Son of God.

Many times a day let us commit our thoughts, affections, imaginations, body, mind, spirit, possessions, loved ones, home and affairs to the sheltering Blood of the Savior, in the faith that the Blood is God’s remedy, and God’s remedy never fails.
