The Shouwang Church in Beijing continues to meet outdoors as efforts to rent an indoor space are continually blocked by local police. Church members report that they signed leases for three separate spaces only to have the contracts abruptly terminated. The landlords indicate that local police and authorities pressure them into dissolving the agreements, which forces the church to continue to meet outdoors. While they were able to meet outdoors on Jan 1st, 48 worshippers were detained during the service. While 40 of these members have been released, the event still illustrates the harassment and persecution the Shouwang church members continue to face.

Pray that the Shouwang church is able to rent and indoor location.
Pray that the continual arrests do not deter Christians from meeting to worship.
