Hey guys,Just wanted to share this documentary with you guys on human trafficking! It was created by a Chistian who has a calling to stop this injustice on the earth!I just watched it just now and highly recommend it!This is a serious issue that we as the Body of Christ need to stand for!We need to stand for justice and not neglect it! In fact when you read the bible that is exactly what God calls out! Its so easy to turn a blind eye to these things and grow cold but this is a reality we need to stand up for! What is awesome about this documentary is that it doesnt just tell us about the darkness but also shines the hope of Christ amidst it!http://nefariousdocumentary.comSynopsisModern slavery. It sounds like a paradox. Hasnt humanity progressed? Didnt we leave slavery dead on the battlefields of the American Civil War? Didnt social reformers like Lincoln and Wilberforce legislate against such cruelty over a hundred years ago? So we had thought. But, with over 27 million enslaved people in the world, human trafficking is once again the battlefront of the century.Regardless of nationality, victims are systematically stripped of their identity, battered into gruesome submission, and made to perform humiliating sexual acts on up to 40 strangers every night. Most are held in dingy apartments and brothels, forced to take heavy doses of illegal drugs, and monitored very closely. Victims are often thrown into such ghastly oppression at 13 years old. Some are abducted outright, while others are lured out of poverty, romantically seduced, or sold by their families.Nefarious, Merchant of Souls, is a hard-hitting documentary that exposes the disturbing trends in modern sex slavery. From the very first scene, Nefarious ushers you into the nightmare of sex slavery that hundreds of thousands experience daily. Youll see where slaves are sold (often in developed, affluent countries), where they work, and where they are confined. Youll hear first-hand interviews with real victims and traffickers, along with expert analysis from international humanitarian leaders. From initial recruitment to victim liberationand everything in betweenthe previously veiled underworld of sex slavery is uncovered in the groundbreaking, tell-all Nefarious, Merchant of Souls.
I would advise caution to men going to watch the trailer or even this documentary, it may be cause for stumbling if lust is a sin you are fighting. I understand the problem and intent of the trailer to give an idea of what the documentary is about but didnt feel comfortable with some of the images placed in the trailer which would likely be in the documentary. Just be careful is all :)
yeah its true, however its needed to show everything for what it is straight up. I would pray about it but honestly after watching it for a few minutes, its hard to lust because you truly see how wicked and destructive the lust of man is. Many people from all sides of the trade were interviewed (traffickers, clients, victims) and it really showed me how wicked I was that lusting in the mind is truly the same as being adultererThat being said, its really good because not only does it go in to deph into the issue but also shows how Christ is shining admist the darkness! There are some POWERFUL testimonies of Christ!
