Hey SI Family,Just a heads up in case you have not found a wonderful music resource yet.If you are on Facebook you may have noticed a music feature called "Spotify".It is EXCELLENT! A few of the features are....1. You can create playlists of any artists in any order of songs you wish.2. There are literal thousands upon thousands of musical options. Of course there is secular and sacred music. However, the options within "Christian" music are massive in and of themselves. Everything from Gregorian chant, to Southern Gospel, Classic Christian Rock, Very Mellow Praise and Worship, Fanny Crosby Hymns to the latest Christian Rap ... I even have a playlist of Bluegrass Worship! It is contemporary worship songs performed by Christian Bluegrass artists. Not looking to get into a discussion over music styles... just making the point that there are great options regardless of your musical preferences.3. There is a truck load of excellent Christmas Music! It comes in all shapes. sizes. and styles! I have recently been enjoying a good bit of Celtic flavored Christmas Music with my own self designed playlists. However, there is a style for anyones taste.4. ITS FREE! You can have it for nothing. 5. It lets you share your playlists back and forth with your Facebook friends with a click of the mouse. I have found some wonderful Christmas music that was previously unknown to me because of my friends sharing.I was also hopeful that we could perhaps use this, or another thread, to share some of the Christmas music we were listening to with others. Maybe we can all find some new things to enjoy by doing that. For a start... In addition to the Bluegrass Worship (which is obviously not Christmas music) I have found these to be enjoyable Christmas listens as of late-A. And Winter Came (the entire CD of 12 songs) by EnyaB.Medieval Christmas (the entire CD of 32 songs) by The Medieval Wind EnsembleThere is also a "search" function so you can look for music by title, artist, or topic. A very handy tool! We found a couple of cd's that were especially made music for playing at Thanksgiving Dinner at your house. We played them at ours. It set a wonderful mood! Excellently chosen music for the holiday of Thanksgiving!Anyway.. just wanted to pass along a blessing to the SI family. Please share if you find some good offerings from the Spotify site.Blessings!
4. ITS FREE! You can have it for nothing.

SreeNo, it is totally free. You get perhaps 1 minute of commercials per hour with the free set up. There is a "pay" option if you want to skip the commercials but it seems unnecessary. One minute of commercials per hour with all the benefits I mentioned. No it is totally free. Not sure where you get the 50 song title idea from. I have about 500 so far and have been using it for several months as have maybe 20 of my friends. We directly send our playlists back and forth to each other. The songs are unlimited and it is free. I am 100% sure. Been using it for months now as have many of my friends.Check it out on your Facebook. You will be pleasantly surprised!Does anyone have some excellent Christmas music they have been listening to that perhaps the rest of us may not be aware of and would enjoy?FYI.. there is a wonderful version of the ancient "The Boars Head Carol" there by Clif Haywood with the Lachrymae Consort on the Medieval and Renaissance Music CD. Worth the listen!
This sounds like a thread worth bumping. Thank you Solomon! I will be checking it out later, since it sounds like an answer to my prayers. I include another website which is playing uplifting, quality Christmas music right now: King FM 98.1 http://www.king.org/pages/4351242.php

Hey Roadside-Thanks for the lead. I will try to give it a listen. If anyone uses Live365 internet radio there is a unique station called Celtic Christian Spirit there. It basically plays all Celtic flavored music. During the Christmas season they play all Celtic flavored Christmas themed music. Very fun. I also have one called A Celtic Christmas on my presets that is a very similar format. Again, lots of fun and heavily influenced by Celtic music if you enjoy the style... which I do.Live365 is also free if you are willing to listen to a couple commercials per hour. However, it is more of a true radio station as you have no control over the playlist. You have total control of the playlist on Spotify. I find both to be fun. Sometimes I want specific songs so I go to Spotify... at others I just a general genre of songs and let them surprise me as they come! In that case I go to Live365. Both are winners.Live365 is at http://www.live365.com/index.live if anyone is interested. You do have to sign in an account but it is totally free.Anyone else have some good finds that we might enjoy this season?
