So how about this one then? If dying early secures heaven, does that mean that abortion is not such a bad thing? (Not saying that children dont go to heaven).
Yes, Abortion is still bad because murder is still a sin and thus still wrong.

Thats like saying murdering Christians is really just doing them a favor... yet if you read Revelation God has a special wrath and fury against those who martyr His children.God hates hands that shed innocent blood.Krispy
Yes true but I was thinking of it from the point of the aborted child. Is it not worth a bit of pain to spend eternity in heaven?
With all due respect... I dont see the point of even going there, friend. Abortion is a travesty no matter how you look at it. There is no way to justify it the shedding of innocent blood.Krispy
I`m not trying to jutify it and of course murder is wrong but what is wrong with investigating logical conclusions in the search for truth? Truth must be able to bear close inspection - right? It would seem that it is better to die in early childhood even if the cause was abortion than to reach an age where most are going to hell. How many aborted babies would have gone to hell if they had been allowed to live? It is just something that has exercised my brain for many years.
Krautfrau, I believe the answer to this is found in Luke 17:1-- "Then said he [Jesus] unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!"Yes, the only good thing about it is that they are safe in His arms. And it is better to die in early childhood than to go to hell. But "WOE unto him, through whom they come!"!! WOE unto those who slaughter innocents, no matter if it insures the innocents Heaven!
Again I am not defending it or saying it is not sin therefore deserving punishment but does it mean that they were not saved by Jesus and their choice but by abortion clinic staff?
There is danger in such "seeking of truth", you maybe well intentioned but one that isn't so well intentioned would use your very argument to justify the killing of the unborn and innocent twisting it to their needs so as Krispy said "Why go there?".
Brenda, as one who has worked in a pro-life ministry for many years, I have asked the same questions. The conclusion I have come to is that there may be no logical conclusions. It is like the others have said, murder is SIN. but if these innocents go to heaven upon being aborted why should you fight it? Logic breaks down here. Faith steps in carries it from here. God said "don't" and we must back off and allow him to teach us what it holy and take it from there. [EDIT] And allow God to be God...Does this make sense, Brenda?ginnyrose
