I chuckled when I read this paragraph! (I laugh easily...)
Anyhow, very good...I love it! _________________ Sandra Miller

MrBillPro -
"lots bigger fish to fry than this subject in the Church" Indeed. Just add godworship to the list and we might make some progress.
MaryJane - Did God ever tell us to remember the Pilgrims and celebrate that day in honor of the pilgrims?
Ah, sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters! They have forsaken Yahweh, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they have gone away backward. Isaiah 1:4 |

Monnkz - If you will not believe the word of our Lord's inspired apostles, then be gone.

So my own Bible tells me I am not to celebrate the birth of Christ? because this is what I am personally celebrating on Christmas.

| Re: | | makrothumia...Last two lines say it all
Self-righteousness is the sin of the proud Christian
This is why Christianity has to be about Christ
and not about me.

________
I do not honor the pilgrims by celebrating Thanksgiving and I do not know of anyone who does?? In fact your the first person who has ever suggested such a thing to me.
I celebrate and give thanks to GOD everyday and on Thanksgiving because of all that HE does daily for me. I do not see anything sinful or wrong with giving thanks to GOD for HIS provision and that is why I celebrate Thanksgiving, its a day to remember how GOD cares for us and provides for us every day of the year...I honor the LORD and give HIM all the glory, praise and worship because HE alone is deserving...
