 Question about John 8:41

John 8:41: "You are doing the deeds of your father.” They said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; we have one Father: God.”

Jesus confronted the Pharisees and their response to him was we were not born of sexual immorality.... was that indicating Mary, Jesus mother had a cloud over her all her life.

 Re: Question about John 8:41

Jesus is point out that they have a different father that is placing in them his will and purpose meaning Satan and he is placing in them the spirit of Murder.

The Pharisees disagreed so this isn't pointed at Jesus, it is pointed at themselves. Essentially what they are saying is, "We are not fatherless children but Born of Abraham and by right are Israelites ie God's Choosen People"

"was that indicating Mary, Jesus mother had a cloud over her all her life."

Yes, imposed upon her by spiritually blind folks. One cannot control what ignorant, blind folks will choose to believe.

 Re: Question about John 8:41

They may not have been involved in fleshly fornication but their spiritual fornication with all of their idols was pervasive. Their "traditions of men" which nullified the law.

Jesus was right, they were doing the deeds of their father. Idolatry, spiritual fornication and adultery.
