 Divorce

I would ask for prayer from all who feel led. My wife of 25 years is going to an attorney tomorrow to divorce me. We have 3 school aged children. We've been to Godly counseling but she is determined. She actually divorced me in every way except legally almost a year ago. She has wanted this for a very long time. If there would be a time for a miracle, I hope that it is now. I won't respond to any replies to this thread at this time, I am just asking everyone I know who follows the Lord to pray now.

 Re: Divorce

I encourage you to go before God and fast and cry out to God also for a miracle. Oh God please save this brother from this terrible event. God you are able.

Have you confessed to her all your faults and errors and not at all blamed her? Have you come to that place of emptying yourself of any rights in this marriage to allow her to be right even if she is wrong?

 Re:

Brother, I went through the same thing, mine filed for divorce on me after 37 years, total surprise never knew anything until I was served. I went through the worst period of my life during the divorce, the good news is, there is life after divorce. If you ever need to talk about it,PM me with your number, I know I did not go through mine in vain, I know God is using me for times like this.
God Bless
Mr. Bill

 Re: Divorce

God be merciful to him,his wife, and especially their three children.

Jer. 32:40 And I will cut an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do good to them. But I will put My fear in their heart, that they shall not depart from Me.

"As the fear of God springs up in a believing soul, and is maintained and kept alive by the influences which come out of Christ as a covenant Head, it produces, as its effects, an abiding in him. We cannot depart from him, because the fear of God is in our heart. It is therefore called "a fountain of life to depart from the snares of death." If a fountain of life, it must be fed out of him who is the life; and as it departs from the snares of death, it cleaves more fully and closely to him as these snares are broken to pieces and left behind.

If we examine the movements of godly fear in our hearts, we shall see that all its tendencies are toward life and the Source of life; toward hatred of sin and love of holiness; toward a desire after the enjoyment of heavenly realities, and a deadness to the things of time and sense; toward a knowledge of Christ in the manifestation of himself, and a longing to live more to his praise, to walk more in his footsteps, and to be more conformed to his suffering image." - Philpot

 Re: Divorce

Brother, I agree with sermonindex (Greg) about fasting. I know you are tired and that this last year has about taken everything out of you but if you can go an extra 100 miles and fast along with prayer.

I will be praying, bro.
God bless you,
Lisa
