 prayer for my Pastor

My Pastor Bryan needs prayer, he just had laser surgery on his eye the other day, had problems earlier this week with his eye. Please pray for him and that the Lord would strengthen him and even heal his eye if it be his will. Also pray for our church to that the Lord's spirit would put them on fire for God and that the people who are hearing the truth that God would work in them to help them grow and those that are not saved that he saves them. Also pray that they would give my pastor more time to preach on sundays mornings, they have given a time limit on sundays and it is kind of making him to rush through the sermon, please pray that our church would be open to stop this nonsense time limit stuff. Please pray for them and that any traditions that are not biblical be taken out of our church. I don't want to talk bad about them because I love my church, we need to be more biblical in a sense and all of this including myself need the spirit of grace to work in us stronger. Pray for true spiritual growth. Thank you so much John.

 Re: prayer for my Pastor

As a pastor myself, I can relate totaly to this neen. I will pray for the pastors eyes. I know he loves to read God's word as well as other solid books. He also needs to be able to study in preparing for sermons.
I will pray for the time limit problems as well. It's a shame that church people think that they can give God time limits. Of corse they don't think it's God they are dealing with. They think that it's the pastors own personal whims. Many church members will be sadly surprized at the judgment seat of Christ.
There is a falsehood about peoples attention span when it comes to listening to sermons. It goes "People can only pay attention for 20 min. at a time". That number is down to 12 min. now. The problem is; it is totally false. Try telling people they should not go to a two hr. movie, cause people can only pay atention for 20 min. Or a football game, or a music concert.
The problem is; people don't Want to listen to things about the Lord as much as they want to do these other things. Encourage your pastor and remind people of the eternal consequences of the matters spoken of in the services.
