Three out of six Chinese lawyers invited by ChinaAid Association to speak at a human rights forum in Washington D.C. Tuesday were barred from leaving China, ChinaAid reported. Boarder officials told lawyers Jiang Tianyong, Zhang Kai, and Li Subin that they were "a threat to national security." They were each also restricted from traveling to the U.S. last year. "To deny these lawyers, who are striving to build up the rule of law in China, the opportunity to engage in international exchanges such as what we have organized for them sends a further signal to the international community that the Chinese political leadership is not serious about its international commitment to advance the rule of law in China," ChinaAid founder and president Bob Fu said. The three men who made it to the U.S. were a lawyer, Li Renbing; a pastor, Zheng Leguo; and a legal scholar, Zhang Dajun.read more: http://www.persecution.org/2011/02/04/christian-lawyers-barred-from-leaving-china-to-attend-human-rights-forum/Pray that Chinese authorities would allow the Jiang Tianyong, Zhang Kai, and Li Subin to leave the country.Pray that Chinese citizens would gain more religious rights.Pray for the protection and strength of Christians facing persecution.
