Re: Flat - Threaded views on forums

So, this is the 'flat' view?

 Re:

I have only used the threaded view on a couple of occasions to see who a particular person was replying to - but I would not miss it as an option if it were gone.

Also, I switch between oldest first and newest first without any problem, so either is fine with me.

I was unaware of the threaded mode; flat for me.

I don't know the diffrence between flat and threaded views?
I do set the post to view newest first.

When in a thread, click the drop down next to the printer icon (under the "post new thread" button on right side of screen). The primary position is flat, the other option is threaded. Click "threaded" and then click go. Scroll down a little when the page reloads and you'll see the difference.

 Re:

LOL!

A person learns something new every day! Here I was wondering what on earth Greg was talking about..SIGH! I was using the threaded view all this while not realizing another option was available....Good example of a person seeing but not comprehending...

Yes, I like oldest first so I know what is being discussed and where people are going with the topic.

Have a Blessed day, y'all!

 Re: dino

Never used the threaded until now; never knew it existed. COOL!....But I guess I've survived here without it this long......I'm a dinosaur anyway!

 Re:

This seems to me to be a confirmation that most if not all use the "flat" view not the threaded view.

So the option for threaded might be taken away in the upcoming weeks. This will also help for search engine purposes so people when they come to the site aren't trapped in the threaded view but everyone will just see the flat view including the search engines.
