We who long for death in Christ are of those who desired eternity. "For they did not love their lives, even unto death". And, comes to mind, the beautiful quote from an author unknown:"All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were longing for a better countrya heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them." Perhaps it's just a gift to me. But I perceive this thread pleases Him. For His joy covered me as I read the words. We are His! And He who does not lie has promised it. We will yet see the face of He who lives forever! And joy shall be the meal we sit at for eternity.All praise to God in Christ Jesus.
