 The Trees Speak

"I see men walking around like sticks." The blind begin to see after the wonderous touch of Jesus. Imagine their fearful surprise when their eyes tell them the rest of the story their other senses kept hidden.

They heard the story of Jesus and responded with joy. They tasted that the goodness of God was sweet to the tongue.

They felt the warmth of the Lord's presence and knew that He was love and forgiveness and teaching to righteousness.

They understood with their mind that they were now part of the bride of Christ. And that in being the bride they were to help build a beautiful gift to the One they love.

Now with their healing eyes they begin to see the corruption among the people of God. They now see the Lord's people walking around like sticks. How much more will they understand as they begin to heal?

Clean your house in respect to the Lord's gracious gift. And rid yourself of those things which bring Him shame. How many "new Christians" have fallen away on account of the corruption they found among the people of God? And how wonderful it is when the "new Christians" come into a clean house prepared for them here. How marvelous it is when we see someone accept the Lord's gift of salvation and remain nested in a family of love. How much does the Lord rejoice at the nurturing of a soul?

We are God's ambasadors of His good will toward all who will believe. Let it be that all God's men and women dress themselves in robes washed in the blood of the Lamb. No one goes to a wedding in muddy jeans and shoes.

By His Grace.
