 Jn 20:7

To understand the significance of the folded napkin, you must understand Hebrew tradition in the cultural setting in which this occurred.

The folded napkin has to do with the master/servant relationship.

At the last supper, Jesus took the role of servant, even washing the disciples feet in the customary role of the servant.(John 13:1-17). Yet, even then he made sure they understood he was their Lord and Master.
Jn. 13:13-16

Now, when the servant set the table for the master to eat, he made sure it was exactly the way the master desired it to be.

After the table was prepared properly, then the servant stood by, waiting just out of sight, until the master had completed eating. The servant was not to touch that table until the master had completely finished the meal.

If the master had finished eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his hands, mouth, and beard, throwing the napkin in a wad on the table. Only then would the servant clear and clean the table.

The wadded napkin means, "I am finished."

However, if the master folded the napkin setting it aside from his plate, and got up from the table, the servant would not dare touch the table, because, the folded napkin means, "I'M COMING BACK!"
...and so He shall.

Hebrews 10:
35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
37 For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him.
39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

AND AGAIN

Titus 2:
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Even so, Lord Jesus come quickly.
AND AGAIN
Maranatha!

Amen
