An Ancient Battle!

There has been an ancient battle which will soon unveil itself once again. There are the genuine saints and then there are the religous, the people of the world. In the Reformation, Luther made a fatal mistake. He rejected the notion of a church of “believers,’ in favor of the State church. The State church gives aid and false comfort to the general population at large. It lulls them into a false sense of security, in effect it says “peace, peace, where there is no peace.”

The State church today is represented by the thousands of denominational and non-denominational churches. In the average church in America for instance, almost half of every congregation is divorced, yet the hirelings remain silent. Materialism and worldliness is rampant, yet again, silence. This modern church model is based on the Catholic model where the power lies in the hands of the priest, which we now call minister or pastor. It is true that he does not claim to turn the bread into the body of Jesus or the wine into His blood, but none-the less, the power resides within the one man, who relies on the people to put food on his table.

When this structure is swept away, then the genuine priesthood of believers will arise. This sleeping body of people will awake and walk in their giftings. Now Satan has always violently opposed the genuine witness of the the Lord Jesus here on this earth, and he has typically used the religious man and woman to do it, this tactic will not change. What now simmers under the surface, resentment of the religious man toward those who have a genuine faith and walk in the holiness of the Lord, will come boiling and bubbling to the surface and Satan will seek a “final solution, for the “Christian problem.” Yet, as the enemy comes in like a flood, so the Lord will raise up a standard, He will pour His Spirit out upon His children and they will walk in a biblical power that the world has not seen for a long time. The Lord always enables those that He calls, He equips us for what He calls us to do. And all of this is surely at the door. What will be the catalyst for this change? Only the Lord knows……………….brother Frank

 Re: An Ancient Battle!

I pray God prepare our hearts for this battle that I be not the enemy but the Ally of the Lord's Army, Lord I repent of my religious man and break the treaty I have with him. I pray that I can speak the same words of Jeremiah that the Word of the Lord shoots up in me a Fire in my bones that I can't hold the truth in. May you equip us with Love and Wisedom that our words be Yours which cut the mans heart like a double edge sword. Lord bring conviction that leads to Repentance. Prepare Your Army! and Sound the Alarm! For the Glory of Christ that He may recieve His Full Reward! Amen.

 Re: An Ancient Battle!

Good soldiers, in moments of rest, sharpen their swords. Remove all your notches and rust saints, learn the discipline of death now.

This post brought tears to my eyes Brother Frank.

"Remove all your notches and rust saints, learn the discipline of death now.'

The Lord's children, filled with the Holy Spirit, will have the same strength and dignity in death that all the saints have had down through the last 2000 years. We may think to ourselves "not me," I would be afraid and cowardly, but let me tell you, that would be true in and of ourselves but it is the Spirit of the Living God within us that will help us "pass through the waters."

Isa 43:1 But now so says Jehovah who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel; Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.

Isa 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; nor shall the flame kindle on you.

Isa 43:3 For I am Jehovah your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for you.

Isa 43:4 Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored, and I have loved you; therefore I will give men for you, and people for your life.

Isa 43:5 Fear not; for I am with you. I will bring your seed from the east, and gather you from the west.

Isa 43:6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Do not keep back; bring My sons from far and My daughters from the ends of the earth;

Isa 43:7 everyone who is called by My name; for I have created him for My glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Isa 43:8 Bring out the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears.

Isa 43:9 Let all the nations be brought together, and let the people be gathered; who among them can declare this and make us hear former things? Let them bring out their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, It is true.

Isa 43:10 You are My witnesses, says Jehovah, and My servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me no God was formed, nor shall there be after Me.

Isa 43:11 I, I am Jehovah; and there is none to save besides Me.

Isa 43:12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shown, when there was no strange god among you; therefore you are My witnesses, says Jehovah, that I am God.

Isa 43:13 Yea, before the day was, I am He; and no one delivers out of My hand; I will work, and who will reverse it?

Is was not but a generation ago that the most technologically advanced nation was Germany, and then the Great Depression came, and so did Hitler.

a possible scenario of what is to come to pass:

...In thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of concentration camps all over the world, countless millions of Christians will sit in crowded cold places, shaken with terror, cold, hungry, thirsty, stripped of their freedom, possessions and dignity...but the Lord is with them in their hour of trial, for He has not forsaken them, and the strength of the Holy Spirit sustains them and fills them with comfort and great joy, and with the comfort of the love of God.

They overcome the Antichrist by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they love not their lives unto death. The Nazi style holocausts return globally, but this time Christians are summarily put to their deaths. It is satan's war against God and against His Kingdom.

During the time of unprecedented persecution against Christians, and in the midst of global chaos, there will be a revival and a move of the Spirit of God, ...such as has not been seen to this day, no not even in the beginning...for God shall pour out of His Holy Spirit upon the Body of Christ ...to strengthen and purify/beautify the Bride of the Lamb, that she may be pure and holy - and without spot or blemish, or any such thing...and her gown shall be as white as snow....many will turn to the Lord during this time in a global revival.

The Prophet Daniel said... but the people that know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. And they that are wise among the people shall instruct many; yet they shall fall by the sword and by flame, by captivity and by spoil, many days...

...And some of them that are wise shall fall, to refine them, and to purify, and to make them white, even to the time of the end; because it is yet for the time appointed. And the king [Antichrist] shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods; and he shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished; for that which is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the gods of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall magnify himself above all. ...And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High.

...small groups of Christians survive, some have even fled into the wilderness into encampments and help each other. Helicopter gunship raids are made to locate the last of the free Christians, to route them out, and police forces search every household over again, and again, until they have routed out all dissenters (Christians).

Any form of money, gold, or silver will all be worthless to the Christian, because you cannot buy or sell anything unless you have the mark of the beast. And those who have the mark of the beast will gladly turn the Christians dissenters in to the authorities at every opportunity they can when they try and buy or sell anything.

Many Christians still in their homes, hiding in their basements or hidden under floorboards, are rounded up with violence. They are treated inhumanly, teased, taunted and humiliated. Some are even executed right on the spot, right in the streets, in broad daylight for all to see.

Many roam around in the wilderness, with nothing on them, no food and no water to drink; they have nowhere to go. They are starved, thirsty and cold; many just cannot cope anymore with the trauma, and just give themselves up. The weather does not help their condition either; it gets colder and colder as time progresses.

In the terrible days of the Great Tribulation, God will give power to His two witnesses, and they will testify/prophecy for one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth, even as it is written concerning them in the book of Revelation, concerning the Glory of God and the Power His Christ.

During this time, the Lord Jesus stands His saints, as they wash their garments in the blood of the lamb, as they ready and prepare themselves to leave the world, as they leave all their sins behind, which seem to fall off like scales from their eyes, as their eyes are opened, and the love of the Holy Spirit fills their hearts.

All worldliness, all lust and covetousness, all idolatry, all sins of divers manner fall away from them, as they purify themselves in the blood of the Lamb in true holiness, as they repent of their sins and are purified in the Holy Spirit and the love of God. They are made as white as snow...for the Bride makes herself ready. Such is the unfettered work of the Holy Spirit in them; it is God in them that purifies them so.

The Holy Spirit fills every Christian, who will no longer desire the spoils of Egypt, the plunder and excess of Babylon. This is not an outward work in the flesh, but an inward work (that God does) of the heart when a person repents and turns to Christ. It is God who circumcises the heart of every believer...

During Great and Severe Tribulation and Trial, such as the world has never seen, God grants His elect repentance, and remembers them according to His mercy; He forgives them for all their sins and for their backsliding, and remembers them no more; He washes them in the Blood of the Lamb so that they will be clean. God allows the foundation of repentance, and allows a broken and contrite and humble spirit within them...so that they may repent, so that they may return to the God of their salvation fully, with a pure heart, and with clean and undefiled and holy hands. ...They overcome the Antichrist and his mark by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they love not their lives unto death.

They pray "Grant to us, oh Lord, the gift of your Holy Spirit, and purify us from the world, through Jesus Christ our Lord - Amen."

 Re:

How we stand in the face of adversity speaks to our salvation. Listen to what Paul says to the Philppians........

Php 1:27 Only let your conduct be as becomes the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you, or else am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, striving together with one mind for the faith of the gospel,
Php 1:28 and terrified in nothing by your adversaries. For this is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.
Php 1:29 For to you it is given on behalf of Christ not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
Php 1:30 having the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

The word translated terrified is a strong term that is used to describe a panicked horse. The courage that genuine Christians display when they are being persecuted is a proof of their salvation, not only to their tormentors but to the evil spirits that are the source behind the tormentors. When we walk in love and in confidence, when we are able, by the power of the Holy Spirit to stand fast in the midst of tribulation , then this is a "living proof,' ( a legal term denoting proof obtained by an analysis of the facts) When they observe our conduct under persecution, they will be astonished by the power that is within us. Listen to how observers described how the martyrs who were killed by the catholic church and the reformed church conducted themselves, to the astonishment of their killers, who attributed their bravery to Satan.........

"They have drunk of the water that flows from the Sanctuary of God, from the Well of Life, and from this have obtained a heart that cannot be comprehended by human mind or understanding. They have found that God helped them to bear the cross and they have overcome the bitterness of death. The fire of God burned in them. Their tabernacle was not here on the earth but was pitched in Eternity, and they had foundation and certainty for their faith. Their faith blossomed as a lily, their faithfulness as a rose, thir piety and uprightness as flowers of God's planting.

The Angel of the Lord had swung his spear before them , so that the helmet of salvation, the golden shield of David, could not be wrested from them. They have heard the horn blown in Sion and have understood it- and on that accountthey have cast down all pain and martyrdom and not feared. Their Holy tempercounted the things valued by the world as a shadow, knowing greater things. They were trained by God, so that they knew nothing, sought nothing, willed nothing, loved nothing, but the eternal heavenly Good only. Therefore they had more patience in their sufferings than their enemies in inflicting them." (The Pilgrim Church)

This is , brothers and sisters, the kind of Spirit that will be poured out on the saints to equip them for the last days.............brother Frank

 Re:

Eighty and six years have I served Him, and he never did me any injury; how then can I blaspheme my King and my Savior. --Polycarp, disciple of the Apostle John, and Bishop of Smyrna

In the Asia Minor city of Smyrna, persecution broke out against Christians and some were put to death for their faith. But the agitated mob wanted to cut off the church there by getting rid of their leader, the now aged Polycarp. The believers hid Polycarp in a farmhouse. (The leaders there taught that one should not seek out martyrdom, but neither should it be avoided if there was no choice and it meant denying Christ). The authorities found the farm house and came to arrest the old man. He welcomed his captors as if they were old friends and gave them food and drink. He asked for an hour to pray before being taken to the arena. They relented. The hour stretched into two hours. The officers, overhearing his prayers began to wonder what they were doing arresting an old man like this.

Polycarp was brought into the arena. Instead of Polycarp begging for his life we find the proconsul pleading with this aged bishop to just curse Christ so he would be released. Polycarp's reply--our quote at the top--was loud and clear. He was burned alive. The Christians present said there was a joyful radiance on Polycarp's face as he died. Believers were allowed to bury his remains on February 22, probably in the year 155. Churches near and far from Smyrna observed this date in years to come and drew strength from the testimony of this old, old, man who would not deny Christ, no matter what it cost him.

Polycarp 15:2
The fire, making the appearance of a vault, like the sail of a vessel filled by the wind, made a wall round about the body of the martyr; and it was there in the midst, not like flesh burning, but like [a loaf in the oven or like] gold and silver refined in a furnace. For we perceived such a fragrant smell, as if it were the wafted odor of frankincense or some other precious spice.

The fragrance description given here reminds me of the presence of the Holy Spirit - a smell of fragrant spice accompanied by a strong sense of being loved, accompanied with joy unspeakable, and a calm and a peace (a beautiful sweet presence) that is hard to put into words, although I try. I love the presence of the Holy Spirit. Polycarp was not alone when he died, and neither were any other Christian martyrs.

The Great Tribulation must come, even as it written that it should. Each day, we see this time known as the "Great Tribulation" drawing closer and closer...the day is even at hand. I know this is going to be a terrible time for the Earth, but I am grateful that my eyes shall witness the coming of the Lord Jesus. We are to be of good courage, and not faint, and we shall inherit a crown of life.

This was a very common story. Christians , mostly whole families, were taken to the arena where they knelt in the middle, holding hands and prayed together. The crowds booed because they had come to see a show, people screaming and running and desperately trying to save thier lives , instead they had to witness incredible courage, anointed by the Holy Spirit, and quiet dignity. Compare that to the fear that so many "Christians," display nowadays over their health or their loss of money...........brother Frank
