I strongly believe that worship is the key to a blessed Christian life. The Father is seeking worshippers in spirit and in truth. We need to spend time in worship of our Lord Jesus Christ. I don't mean the mechanical 'praise & worship' that goes on certain churches. I don't mean contemporary Christian music; certainly not.I mean that we must open our mouths and praise the Lord. But on what basis? On the basis of Calvary. Remember Romans 8.32. "He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" Remember John 14.14 "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." On what basis? On the basis of Rom 8.32.Lord, I pray to you for help, for deliverance, for comfort, for strength, for blessing. Are You going to deny Your help? I'm not coming to You in my own merit. I depend entirely on Your grace & mercy. For Your name's sake, Lord, do it. Your name is Merciful, Compassionate, Gracious; You are Faithful & True; You are my Shepherd; You are my Savior; You are my God. The God of my salvation. Where did you reveal Your mercy, compassion, grace, faithfulness, truth, shepherd-care, deliverance, salvation? On the Cross, the Cross of Calvary. In the Cross of Christ, be my glory forever. Amen. (I wonder how many of us feel strongly that worship is the key to life & victory in our Christian walk.)
I wonder how many of us feel strongly that worship is the key to life & victory in our Christian walk?[This is too important a thread to be overlooked!]
There are times when I think of worship, that I am reminded of Job.In Job 1, after he had received the bad news, it says in verse 21 that he fell to the ground and worshipped.Worship should supersede our emotions, because of who God is, because of His character. He is worthy of worship.Rev 14v7, '...Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come, and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.'God is worthy.Worship God.God bless.
Succinctly put, Enid. Bless you.But I think all worship revolves around Calvary. The wonder of Jesus Christ (who is God who came in the flesh) giving Himself to be broken on the Cross for our redemption from sin, Satan, death & hell, and through the shedding of His precious Blood giving us access to eternal life. We need to keep meditating more on Calvary. May God open our eyes to that great sacrifice!
