 Seeking to rightly view sin

When you as a Christian are faced with the temptation to sin, what is the motivation of your heart that keeps you from sinning? Is your view and attitude over sin more self-centered or is it God centered? Does the thought that your sin "Grieves the Heart of God" cause you to weep over your sin... or do you just really hate the idea of failing? The Bible tells us, “If you love Me you will obey Me?” Does this mean that when we do sin in that moment we are acting and have an attitude of “not loving” the Lord. It seems by His own words He views it that way...IF the attitude of our heart that keeps us from sinning is only one of fear(of hell) is this enough? As we walk and obey and submit to Him in our daily lives should there not be constant and ever increasing desire to please Him to demonstrate our love for Him...He gives us all we need to accomplish this
