Deepthinker writes...."Not every Christian is called to be a martyr. Some could not endure it. There are those in the Christian family that don't have great faith, their faith is feeble. I would be considered one of those, my faith is feeble and I can't see God putting someone like that through that knowing that they would probably deny him to save their neck, like Peter."This is a little puzzling to me brother. Peter denied prior to Pentecost. Once he was endued with power from on high we see a different man emerge. The same Spirit that was in Peter after Pentecost is in you brother. I know that you know tat its not by might, nor by power but by HIs Spirit. So, deepthinker the man could not do it, but the Spirit of the living God that indwells deepthinker can , obviously, enable you to do all things through Christ who give you strength. What is impossible through the flesh, through the natural, becomes possible in the Spirit, through the supernatural. Whole families were martyred, men woman and children, and they chose to die rather than to deny God. When we come to Christ in the first place we are giving up our lives, we are bought with a price, and , as Spurgeon says whether and ox on the alter or an ox in the field, His choice. Please do not take this the wrong way brother, but I would have serious doubts about anyone who would deny Jesus in order to save their own necks. I personaly do not think that about you, I have no doubt that you would never deny your Lord..........Frank
