| Thank you to all who prayed with me in this time(Aug 17 2009) | | Greetings I know I have not posted in a while but I am here to ask for prayer. My dad is in intensive care, they are moving him to the Portland hospital for further care. His heart is giving out on him, As I shared before he has been living on very limited time. I have not had much contact with him as perhaps I should have, its difficult because for what I know of his heart he is not saved. At this time I am asking that if you feel led please pray that if these are in fact his last few days on this earth that he would humble himself before God that he would cry out to Him and repent. As long as he is still with us there is hope that he would repent and see his need of Jesus. Please pray that some how through the pain and medicines he would cry out to Jesus. Father has been so merciful with my dad, so loving even when my dad has rejected Him time and time again. In this time I just want to hold on to how generous our Father has been to my dad and to all of us when we are so very undeserving of that love and mercy. What an awesome and magnificent God we have the privilege to call our Father in Heaven...

| Re: If I may ask for your prayers | | I am praying MaryJane - for both your dad and yourself - that the Lord may bring peace about this into your heart.
As I was reading your post, this sermon that I listened to recently came to mind:

| Re: If I may ask for your prayers | | Father, We ask you for Mercy & Grace concerning Mary Jane's Daddy. Just as you saved my Husband before you took him Home, you are able to save her Dad. Your Grace is Sufficient, so please save him, and strengthen this Family. In Jesus Name. |

| Re: | | Thank you for your prayers everyone. Nellie I am so sorry for the loss of your husband. I know Father has been your comfort and strength in this time. Just to let you know dear sister you have been in my prayers as well.
I heard from the Doctor just a few moments ago and they are moving my dad to Portland right now. His arteries are blocked more then they were. They are not sure what they can do at this time but he is in a great deal of pain. They have him on a morphine drip. They found that he has a collapse lung and suspect a tumor. they will be attempting to do a biopsy on it if they get the go ahead from the heart specialist. My dad smoked for the better part of his life so they believe he may now have lung cancer on top of all of his heart issues.
thank you again for your thoughts God Bless mj |

| Re: | | Thank you to everyone who has been praying for my dad. He is now in Portland in the intensive care unit. He is not doing well. They have the pain under control but his left lung has collapsed completely and he is throwing up blood. His kidneys are damages and he his getting limited blood and oxygen flow to his heart. He is on full mask oxygen and they are considering putting him on a ventilator. He can not talk on the phone so I can not speak with him at all. At this time there is no evidence that he has had a change of heart and or that he has repented. In all of this, that is what is the most difficult part. This has been really hard for me I will admit, the thought of him, of anyone suffering eternity in hell is just such a fearful thing. And yet I know that Father has been so generous and given so many chances to my dad, many times when he could have repented, died to self, and given his life to Jesus. If I may ask you all for your prayers to help me keep my focus on Jesus during this time. There is hope as long as he is still with us I know that, just praying that my dad will some how see things as they really are, see his great need for Jesus...
thank you again for your prayer and kindness, I know so much is going on in the world around us today that it is a great comfort to know there are those who love Jesus and are out there seeking the Lord on my dads behalf.

| Re: If I may ask for your prayers | | Mary Jane, You may have already thought about this, but would the Hospital send in a Chaplain to talk with your Dad? If he can't speak, he can pray in his heart. Jesus hears heart Prayers, too. Father, save Mary Jane's Daddy. In Jesus Name.

| Re: If I may ask for your prayers | | Dear MJ, dear dear sister, I am praying for your precious father. If it is his time, may his soul ascend to Heaven. Somehow, and I cant explain why, I feel this sweet release that the dear man will be with Jesus, when and if he crosses the River Jordan. I dont know you or him, but I know your father must love his dear Mary Jane, and you love Jesus, and Jesus loves you and lives in you, so.......I just feel a sweet release, and hope that my prayers and your prayers, and our brethern's prayers ascend to Heaven as a memorial offering for the soul of your father, interceding and pleading. God is merciful and loving, that I know.
In Jesus love, neil |
