Each of these messages is excellent. Both contain testimony and exhortation. Above they are encouraging. Hi jsisrl,Thanks for the link to the article by DW. It is extremely good. I've quoted a bit of in in another thread.Actually, we've discussed on SI in the past, where evangelism should be in the Christian scheme of things, and I tend towards DW's perspective, mainly having been influenced by Charles Wesley's hymns. Words like this:1 BRETHREN in Christ, and well-beloved,To Jesus and his servants dear,Enter and show yourselves approved;Enter, and find that God is here. 2 Welcome from earth: lo, the right handOf fellowship to you we give! With open hearts and hands we stand,And you in Jesu's name receive. 3 Say, are your hearts resolved as ours? Then let them burn with sacred love; Then let them taste the heavenly powers,Partakers of the joys above. 4 Jesu, attend thyself reveal! Are we not met in thy great name?Thee in the midst we wait to feel,We wait to catch the spreading flame. 5 Thou God that answerest by fire,The Spirit of burning now impart; And let the flames of pure desireRise from the altar of our heart. 6 Truly our fellowship belowWith thee and with the Father is;In thee eternal life we know,And heaven's unutterable bliss. 7 In part we only know thee here,But wait thy coming from above; And we shall then behold thee near,And we shall all be lost in love. clearly show a church which considered iself completely separate from the world, and necessarily so. Listen to the first minutes of this Paul Washer sermon, to hear what I mean: The True Gospel, where he recounts an historical anecdote. By the way, feel free to listen to the whole thing. It's one of the best sermons of its kind.:-DI'm glad you enjoyed Neil Rhodes' exhortation. It blessed me immensely.
Thanks Alive-to-God, Have you noticed that many-many churches (so called) are ministering the same pyschology-philosophy which has been in the public gov't. schools for a long time now? And yes, for the most part I do bless Paul Washer - amen!

Alive, The best thing we can encourage them to do is heed God's Word in Revelation to come out of the whore. The whore (Apostate Church) will never repent so God just destroys her and her children if they do not repent so that the Church will know that it IS God who tries the reins. My late Pastor/Teacher (Milton Green) taught on this 'straight on' about the Apostate Church - even wrote a book on the Great Falling Away Today - he nailed it - only because God gave him what to teach on through His Word. Greg also has some of his mp3's here. Jesus Himself put's it stronger this way:It is Written:Rev 2:22-2322 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.KJVHave you spoke to the Pastor about all this? Is he also practicing the dialectic process (getting into small groups and asking others 'how do they feel and how do they think about,....') rather than having wholesome Bible studies and looking into God's Word and let's His Word be The Authority above everyone?
