 The Law of Yahweh

The Law of Yahweh
Those who have the spirit of Christ will have the works of Christ.

If we have the spirit of Christ and "walk in it" then we fulfill the law of God. The spirit of Christ will by no means draw us away from it. When Jesus was teaching on the Mount of Olives, what he taught was well beyond the written law. We are not justified by the law but if you break the law you will loose salvation. What about murder, adultery etc? Can we do these things and retain our salvation? Certainly not. Jesus did not annul the law but he fulfilled it. If you are in him then you will also fulfill the law, by your new nature, the nature of Christ.

JeremYah 31:
31 Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they broke, although I was a husband to them, says Yahweh:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, says Yahweh, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yahweh: for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says Yahweh: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

The law of Yahweh is written on our hearts so it is not burdensome to us, It becomes our nature!

1st John 5:
1 ¶ Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loves the father loves the son.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

We are not talking about laws concerning the cleansing / purification etc. as these laws have to do with forgiveness and reconciliation. Christ has accomplished all of these for us, we have been reconciled to God and our Brethren. “by his stripes we are healed”

John 13:34-35
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
35 By this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another.

1St John 3:14-19
14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brothers. He that does not love his brother remains in death.
15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer: and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
16 By this we perceive the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
17 But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother has need, and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him?
18 My little children let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in works and in truth.
19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

The great commandment is to love Yahweh our God with all our heart, soul and strength. The second is to love your neighbor as yourself. and the rest is gravy.

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Romans 8:
1 ¶ There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 ¶ And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that remains in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: but if you through the Spirit do put to death the works of the body, you shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

If we all walked in the Torah the world would be much better place. When Christ returns this will become a reality. But the law of the spirit takes us well beyond the Torah because as we know God is love and the spirit which we have also leads us in the same way.

When the Kingdom comes in its fullness there will be those who walk in the spirit and those who walk in the Torah. They are not the same, some Christ will lead through the spirit and some will be ruled with a rod of iron.

If we walk in the spirit we always fulfill the Torah because the true understanding of the Torah is what is written on our hearts. It has now become our nature and the spirit leads us the way in which we should go. The only thing that I use the Torah for is to reprove and or correct bad behavior it is how we convince the sinner of his sin. If the sinner is not convinced of his sin he sees no need for a savior and is doomed. Also a Brother who walks disorderly can at times be corrected with the Torah. For those walking in the spirit the Torah is not used, only because we walk well beyond it.

Let’s look at the Sabbath. This is a good example showing real life exposure of the teaching of being lead by the spirit versus following the Torah.

All we can do is shine a light on truth, it is God’s business to direct others to what is true and what is not. I receive revelation while reading the word, at times while reading another’s testimony and at times simply from God without external input. The direction in a Christian’s life must be by the spirit. If we see one in error then we show them the way more clearly. The problem comes when we accept the words of a man or interpretation of scripture without the spirits guidance. This is the only way those who belong to Christ can be deceived, by walking in the flesh.

If I tell someone that Saturday was Sabbath and they believe me without the spirit’s guidance then they are in the flesh and have based their faith on my words. I’m not the one they should believe. The spirit should and will lead the believer into all truth. There are different levels of growth among our Brothers so each must walk in the light he has. The Sabbath is not a burden but rather a celebration of good things to come to the faithful. There are multiple ways to observe the Sabbath, I think of a certain Brother who celebrates Sabbath everyday. Is he sinning in this? Certainly not the Sabbath observance is fulfilled by him quite obviously in his daily rest in the finished works of God through Christ. Some of us weekly observe Sabbath by choice (an outward celebration) and not compulsion else if we do our own works we find ourselves in sin. An example of violation of Sabbath would be to say that we must do our own works to find salvation.

True experience: Someone asks me what day is truly the Sabbath. I tell them Saturday so they start observing Saturday as the Sabbath. Later the Sabbath falls away from their life and they are unsure which is real, Saturday or Sunday. This person believed what I said for awhile then believed what another said later. The problem was that they were not shown by God until sometime later, they had other things to overcome first and were not ready for the Sabbath. They now observe Sabbath but still do not fully understand the Sabbath (not unlike myself). We walk in the light we have in the here and now. While we are growing there is grace to cover us and there is no condemnation.
