The Proper Condition of the Spirit

Our spirit in the proper condition is:

(i) Contrite (Psa. 34:18; Isa. 57:15)
(ii) Broken (Psa. 51:17)
(iii) Trembling (Isa. 66:2)
(iv) Humble (Prov. 16:19; Prov. 29:23; Isa. 57:15)
(v) Poor (Matt. 5:3)
(vi) Meek (Gal. 6:1)
(vii) Fervent (Rom. 12:11)
(viii) Cool (Prov. 17:27)
("He that is of a cool spirit is a man of understanding" ASV)
(ix) Rejoicing (Luke 1:47)
(x) Not Cowardly (2 Tim. 1:7)
(xi) Quiet (1 Pet. 3:4)
(xii) New (Rom. 7:6)
(xiii) Holy (1 Cor. 7:34; 2 Cor. 7:1)
(xiv) Strong (Luke 1:80)
(xv) Oneness (Phil. 1:27)
(xvi) Full of Grace (Gal. 6:18)

The above list has been gleemed from several pages of Watchmann Nee's, The Spiritual Man, Vol II.

For those who are interested, I thought I would put a link here to a post on "soulish Christians" by Nee that is also very sumarized and easy to go through: The Soulish Believer
