08/19/2004: Four young women from a GFA Bible college were handing out Gospel tracts on August 13 when a man physically assaulted them. In the ensuing struggle, all but one of the women escaped. As the attacker forcibly led her away, she broke free and rejoined the others in the place where they were hiding. The man then went to the house of Pastor Nogen, supervisor of the team, where he found the pastors wife home alone. He attempted to kidnap her, but she resisted and ran to a neighbors house for help. Finally, the attacker went to police and filed a false complaint against the GFA workers, leading authorities to arrest the pastor and all four women. They remained in custody for six hours before being released unharmed. The sisters team is newly assigned to the area, where they are serving the Lord. Harassment of female missionaries is an increasingly used tactic of anti-Christian groups, who sometimes accuse them of winning converts through prostitution.http://www.gfa.org/gfa/latestnewsarticle?wid=2101
