Nuclear Dis-armament will lead to Armageddon

Just before the G-20 summit, in one of his many speeches, President Obama talked about a nuclear free world. This, in my opinion, although mostly ignored by the media, was one of his most important statements. Here is my scenario, based , I believe, on a knowledge of geo-politics and Scripture. The world will indeed embrace nuclear dis-armament, as counterintuitive as that may seem right now. It will probably be accelerated by a nuclear strike , albeit it a relatively small one(still tens of thousands of casualties) by terrorists. There will be a coalition of the willing, led by America to have an outright ban on these weapons. Remember, America has way more Nuclear weapons that any other country in the world. No other country could ever hope to catch up with America's numbers. There will be , eventually, one hold-out and that country will be Israel. This will fuel the hatred of an already anti-semitical world. All aid to Israel will be cut of, and eventually a coalition of "all nations," will come against Israel.

Many may not have seen Queen Noor of Jordon on the news programs this morning. She was there to promote "Global zero." Here is an extract from the "Global Zero" web site ..................................................

"In recent months, the threat of proliferation and nuclear terrorism has led to a growing chorus of world leaders calling for the elimination of all nuclear weapons, including Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and U.S. President-elect Barack Obama.
Global Zero will support these leaders in this endeavor by combining high-level policy work with global public outreach to achieve a comprehensive agreement to eliminate all nuclear weapons worldwide through phased and verified reductions. Global Zero is a new international initiative launched in Paris Dec. 8-9, 2008 by 100 political, military, business, faith and civic leaders from across political lines.

Global Zero is developing a step-by-step policy plan for the phased elimination of nuclear weapons – the Action Plan – and is committed to building broad-based public support through worldwide media and online communications and grassroots organizing.

At its public launch, Global Zero leaders announced that they will convene a Global Zero World Summit bringing together hundreds of leaders in early 2010. They also released the results of their recently commissioned poll of 21 countries that shows overwhelming worldwide public support for an international agreement to eliminate all nuclear weapons."

They already have hundreds of signatures from powerful people from all around the world, you can find a full list of these people here I am not writing this post to alarm anyone or encourage any political activity. I truly believe that this is how God's plan will unfold. I would just like my brothers and sisters to be aware of the times in which we live. The end is surely coming, and perhaps even in the generation that we live. If your loyalties are to the country in which you live, you will find yourself having loyalties with a nation that will come against Israel. When the Scriptures teach us that "all nations," will come against Israel, that is exactly what it means. Our total loyalties should be to Jesus and Him alone. Only that foundation will see us through. Our only security lies with Him..................Frank

Frank, GOD has called us all to "watch" for "the signs" that HE repeatedly told us about.
HE gave more signs for us to watch for then we could type into one post Brother.

No need to apologise for anything you feel led to post to this News Section. News is News and folks have posted lesser things here.

We may not all agree, but that should be taken with a grain of salt.

News Articles should just be taken as News Articles and "we" should see many of these News Articles through Biblical eyes.

I personally would prefer to read News Articles posted here than on Secular News sites.
I've appreciated what I've seen posted on this section this last month in particular.

Anyone who is even trying to be a watch-person or attempting to send out a clarion call should never be mocked nor hurt nor contended with by the spitting of hairs over these posts.
The "heart" of the poster and their reasons for posting is what HE sees .... That desire to Protect His Sheep and those who know that His people will perish for a lack of Knowledge and to awake those who are asleep or in denial of our times.

Thank you for caring about us all.
Thank you sincerely to the others that have been reporting on this News Section, especially this last month.

See you all when we see HIM :-D

Re: Nuclear Dis-armament will lead to Armageddon

The word "science" has been in my prayers often these days. Somehow I think that this is connected. An old book fell into my hands the other day and when I opened it, it opened to a page on Hiroshima, that was in a chapter on science. Just yesterday the breakdown of the word conscience came before me - con-science - against science - maybe better said, against man's science.

SCI'ENCE, n. [L. scientia, from scio, to know.]

1. In a general sense, knowledge, or certain knowledge; the comprehension or understanding of truth or facts by the mind. The science of God must be perfect.

2. In philosophy, a collection of the general principles or leading truths relating to any subject. Pure science, as the mathematics, is built on self-evident truths; but the term science is also applied to other subjects founded on generally acknowledged truths, as metaphysics; or on experiment and observation, as chimistry and natural philosophy; or even to an assemblage of the general principles of an art, as the science of agriculture; the science of navigation. Arts relate to practice, as painting and sculpture.

A principle in science is a rule in art.

3. Art derived from precepts or built on principles.

Science perfects genius.

4. Any art or species of knowledge.

No science doth make known the first principles on which it buildeth.

5. One of the seven liberal branches of knowledge, viz grammar, logic, rhetoric, arithmetic, geometry, astronomy and music.

[Note - Authors have not always been careful to use the terms art and science with due discrimination and precision. Music is an art as well as a science. In general, an art is that which depends on practice or performance, and science that which depends on abstract or speculative principles. The theory of music is a science; the practice of it an art.],science

Hope I didn't get too far off topic here.

Hi Heartsong,

Not really sure of your point, but let me take a stab at where I am coming from. Jesus tell the pharisees that they are hypocrites, many times. One of the times He says to them that they can tell that if the sky is red at night then the weather will be good the next day and if the sky is red in the morning then they know that a storm is probably coming. So, they can discern the signs of the sky but not the signs of the times. To discern the signs of the times , I would argue, is very different than say, prophecy, where the Lord gives a direct word. As Christians ans studiers of the Word, there should be no better discerner of the times than us. If we cannot so it, who will warn the world, God always warns before His righteous arm is wielded. The generation that cannot discern the signs is wicked and adulterous. What a tragedy when God's own people cannot discern the signs of the times. AWAKE , AWAKE, for the time draws near........Frank

THE U.S. AT WAR
Wednesday, Oct. 05, 1983 - TIME

THE PEACE The Bomb

The greatest and most terrible of wars ended, this week, in the echoes of an enormous event—an event so much more enormous that, relative to it, the war itself shrank to minor significance. In what they said and did, men were still, as in the aftershock of a great wound, bemused and only semi-articulate, whether they were soldiers or scientists, or great statesmen, or the simplest of men. But in the dark depths of their minds and hearts, huge forms moved and silently arrayed themselves: Titans, arranging out of the chaos an age in which victory was already only the shout of a child in the street.

With the controlled splitting of the atom, humanity, already profoundly perplexed and disunified, was brought inescapably into a new age. The race had been won, the weapon had been used by those on whom civilization could best hope to depend; but the demonstration of power against living creatures instead of dead matter created a bottomless wound in the living conscience of the race. The rational mind had won the most Promethean of its conquests over nature, and had put into the hands of common man the fire and force of the sun itself.

Was man equal to the challenge? In an instant, without warning, the present had become the unthinkable future. Was there hope in that future, and if so, where did hope lie?

When the bomb split open the universe and revealed the prospect of the infinitely extraordinary, it also revealed the oldest, simplest, commonest, most neglected and most important of facts: that each man is eternally and above all else responsible for his own soul.

"My God!"

The run was short and straight. At 9:15 a.m. Major Thomas Ferebee pressed the toggle and the single bomb was away, down through the substratosphere. Colonel Paul Warfield Tibbets, the pilot, took back the controls and ten pairs of eyes strained at the plexiglass windows as Tibbets turned the plane broadside to the city of Hiroshima.

It took less than 60 seconds. Then the brilliant morning sunlight was slashed by a more brilliant white flash. It was so strong that the crew of the Superfortress Enola Gay felt a "visual shock," although all wore sun glasses.

A few seconds after the flash, the shock wave from the blast reached the Enola Gay, several miles away, and rocked it like a giant burst of flak. From the men who had rung up the curtain on a new era in history burst nothing more original than an awed "My God!"

Hiroshima had once harbored 344,000 people. Reconnaissance photographs showed 4.1 square miles—60% of the city's built-up area—destroyed by fire and blast. There was no crater in which the blast effect would have been largely wasted; the bomb had exploded well above ground. How many tens of thousands of Hiroshima's people had perished was not yet and might never be known.

Three days later, the Superfort Great Artiste was out on a similar mission. Major Charles W. Sweeney had a rough trip to Japan in bad weather; his primary target was socked in. Over the second-choice target, Nagasaki, he had just enough gas left for one run.

This bomb was even more powerful than the one dropped on Hiroshima, so much of an improvement that the first bomb was obsolete. It exploded on or near the ground, blasted a ghastly crater. It destroyed only one square mile of the Kyushu seaport, but spokesmen said that it had been more devastating than the first.

We Interrupt This Program . . .

When the first news of Japan's surrender came to the fighting fronts, G.I.s yelled wildly, pounded backs, fired guns, drank hoarded whiskey. On Okinawa the night was lighted by millions of tracer bullets as men fired rifles, machine guns, antiaircraft guns. Green and yellow flares glared in the darkness. Ships offshore, fearing a Kamikaze attack, laid down a smoke screen, opened up with antiaircraft guns. Veterans had seen nothing like it during the whole battle for the islands. The celebration had tragic consequences: six men were killed, 30 wounded.

Manila echoed as soldiers drove jeeps and trucks madly through the dusty streets, blowing horns, beating on fenders with iron pipe. Over the din sounded the shrill voices of children screaming: "Beectory . . . beectory. . . ."

The great Cunard liner Queen Elizabeth approached New York Harbor with a captured Nazi flag flying at her main mast, an effect achieved by laughing, shouting soldiers. Manhattan's excitable garment workers threw tons of paper and cloth shreds into the streets.

"And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them. Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble. For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.

Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble. What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.

The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken. For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal." - Jeremiah 11:9-17

A Strange Place
Monday, Aug. 20, 1945 - TIME

This was a new room, rich with hope, terrible with strange dangers. The door that slammed behind man at Hiroshima had locked. Life, as always, was irreversible. There was no choice but to grope ahead into the Atomic Age.

Pain and a price attended progress. The last great convulsion brought steam and electricity, and with them an age of confusion and mounting war. A dim folk memory had preserved the story of a greater advance: "the winged hound of Zeus" tearing from Prometheus' liver the price of fire.

Was the world ready for the new step forward? It was never ready. It was, in fact, still fumbling for the answers to the age of steam and electricity. The kindly physicists handed plain people (like Harry Truman and Clement Attlee) the fissioned atom,.and said: You have to decide who owns it; who can kill whom with it, and under what circumstances. How fast is it to be developed? Certainly, it will change the world. You have to make laws to fit it.

And if plain people (like Harry Truman and Clement Attlee) did not understand and control it, who would?

They faced up to it. There wras no pretending Hiroshima had never happened; no ignoring a source of energy that might spin all the wheels ever cast.

Man had been tossed into the vestibule of another millennium. It was wonderful to think of what the Atomic Age might be, if man was strong and honest. But at first it was a strange place, full of weird symbols and the smell of death.

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." - Galatians 6:7

Hi Heartsong,

I enjoyed reading those pieces, they were very well written. There is no doubt that modern man worships the gods of war and science. By worship, I mean that they put all of their faith in it and their trust. One may extend that list out in all directions to include things like money, politics, pills(pharmacia) and so on. The great tragedy of the age is that so many professing Christians worship these same Gods. I wonder where the modern day equivalents of Bethel and Dan are? Wall St and Washington? "The City of London," and Downing St?..........Frank
