Just a thought:Isn't posting on a website 1000 times an EXTREME amount of posts? Just picture someone facing away from their immediate family (1000 times) and facing a cold computer.I guess we ARE in a "POST" revival. :-?
I was going to ignore this, because the motive behind it is unknown, but I thought I'll give my two bits, and no doubt, others will too. What is the difference between 1000 posts or 10,000 posts?Only the time it takes to do so, that's all.Someone could post from 10-100 or more posts in a week, that's up to them. When I am in front of the computer, like now, there is no one home but me, so I not exactly facing away from them. How would we define EXTREME?I suppose others could chime in and say, when you are reading a book, that is facing way from the family. So could listening to music with earphones.Even so, I think the individual knows when they have overstepped the mark.By the way, what has this got to do with revival?
I have often been amazed at the number of posts that many people have. Kind of a neat thing to consider as I progress from 49 to 50 and see someone with 2,500. The amount of time it takes me to read, consider and write is incredible because I am not fast. I think it is possible to "fritter" away an hour here and an hour there and the cumulative amount spent in any one area can sometimes be staggering. My 15 year old daughter complains about not having time for anything. We homeschool, she's in our drama group, athletic group, tumbling, works part-time, bible quizzing, and texts 7,000 send/receives per month and last month 32 hours of logged talk time. This is without the My Space, Facebook and generally hanging out. We were able to let her know that the cell phone and computer were real drains on her time. Last year, I had to back off even logging in to this forum (my only entertainment :-) ) because I noticed I was falling behind in other responsibilities. I believe that each individual must be accountable before God and family as to the wisest use of time. I heard that internet usage is the new #1 cause of divorce in America. As for revival, it comes when God is first thought, last thought and all in between with love reigning in our lives. We just need to be careful to not let something good take the place of the best. In Love, Barry

The Brethren come here for any variety of reasons - For fellowship and learning, for sharing their experiences and observations- Some are shut in and have no recourse - Some have been greatly challenged and changed by all that goes on here - It is impossible to know the full extent nor what goes on in the minds and hearts of those who read but do not post at all. This is unwise and unnecessary - it will only generate strife. We have fought hard to try and make this forum something quite a bit different.Locked. Joh 21:20-22
