[b]China blocks access to New York Times Web site[/b]BEIJING (AP) - China has blocked access to the New York Times Web site, the newspaper said Saturday, days after the central government defended its right to censor online content it deems illegal.Computer users who logged on in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou received a message that the site was not available when they tried to connect on Friday morning, the paper said. Some users were cut of as early as Thursday evening, it said.The Web site remained inaccessible from Beijing Saturday.It was not clear if the move was meant to block specific content on the newspaper's Web site or if it was a return to stricter censorship of the Internet in general. China staging the Olympics was just that, an act.They are communist, and it would be good to see that change, but the chances are slim.However, God is not chained, and communist is not an unconquerable giant when it comes to God.Blocking websites is only a taste of what could happen in the west also. That is, if it hasn't happened already.
I wonder if China has blocked SI - Is there analytic detection from SI's tracking software?
Whatever they block, they can't block God.Or prayer.But, it's communication they are trying to block.Thankfully, whatever they do, they cannot win.
Would be nice if the US did block the New York Times web site. Good riddance, in my opinion, I won't miss it.
