Unbelieveable, but true...a gay bible.

This is really sad. However the scriptures said these types of things would happen when we resist God with the iron will and fist of depravity.

Romans 1:21-25

21For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
24Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

Notice what happens to men that wallow in the mire of depravity. They 1.Exchange the Glory of the immortal God and 2. The exchange his truth for a Lie. John 17:17 tells us that the word is his truth and it is by that truth that God has ordained sanctification when we degrade truth we have no ground and all other ground is sinking sand. I pray for anyone gripped by the dark talons of this lifestyle that God would save them and destroy the power of satan the strong man that binds them. We know that nothing is to hard for our lord he saved men from all kinds of immorality in the corinthian church 1 corinthians 6:9. Romans 2 expresses the fact that it is the great wall of Goodness Forbearance and Longsuffering that hold back the tempestuous waters of Gods wrath and that it is his goodness that leads men to repentance. Lets pray that the lamb that was slain receive the reward of his suffering and that he would grant repentance and faith even in this debacle.

this may sound strange but im glad people are so bold at to publish such trash as this.

My reasoning behind this statement is simple.
In my circle of dealings with church and staff I am constantly battling with people with discernment, and when I make comments about a writer or book, or even the Message bible I find resistance and am concidered nitpicky.
But for the sake of being able to dialogue with people that have allowed themselves to fall asleep concerning discernment, will easily agree with me about statements brought up about a gay bible. But under the same rules of study and reasoning we must apply the same litmus test to any writer, book, or even bible translation to see if it stands true to God's true intention when conveying his thoughts to HIS people.
So when someone in my group say yuck the gay bible... I get to ask them the question, Whats wrong with it? How do you know? Compared to what do you disagree with what it says? Proof texts?
then after there done, I get to apply the same reasoning to them and their favorite author, or bible version, "message"
May the fun begin.
I also hope it comes only in PINK so we can see who is reading this stuff.

Max Mitchell makes a very good point when he asks. "There are 116 versions of the Bible, why is any of them better than ours?"

As Christians we are constantly bickering about God's Word. It's this version, no, it's that version, to the point that there is no longer a consensus, even among the faithful. Is it really any wonder that the world feels unrestrained in their treatment of His Word?
For myself, I just step back, see the version that is under the biggest attack from the world, and the "church", and trust that one is likely it.

I don't really believe this is a serious attempt at a new translation. It would be a sham even to homosexuals.

For instance, why don't they come out with gay versions of Shakespeare plays, Dantes Divine Comedy, or Milton's Paradise Lost where the text is altered to include more homosexual references? Because that would be ridiculous and ignorant. Even to athiests who are minimally educated, the old and new testament of the bible are recognized as part of historic canon of literature. Using higher critical isogesis to strain against the historic text is one thing, but inventing an entirely new text that says entirely new things, while pretending it is still the historic artifact, is beneath even the lowest standards of intellectual integrity.

I honestly can't see even homosexuals seriously buying into something so condescending as a "gay" bible. It is an insult to their capacity for educated thought. From the article, I think this book is intended to be a lampoon, and why that is offensive, I don't believe the authors really think they are offering a serious translation for gay people. I think this is being done as a tongue in cheek scoff. (How sad.)

i would wonder if they would make it some obvious color or something. that would be funny. but what isn't funny is the fact that this is a decevince from outside choosing to be named as if it is from within. it discuses me! and if we are getting pushed to the underground what will happen? but it is too soon (in my opinion) to tell.... but just search on youtube, "barak obama christian nation" or something like that.... he publicly defames and blasphemys against our beliefs and how all of the fake gods are the same as our God. it makes me sick.
