I posted this previously on the Sermonindex Conference Call Revival Prayer meetings site. We are keeping an incomplete record of calls to prayer and repentance there. 10/22/08 - An UNUSUAL call to Prayer: Just prior to our conference, or perhaps on 10/22/08, there was a nationwide radio hook-up of prayer for our nation. This was unusual for several reasons. First, uniting Christian Radio ministries, I have learned personally, may be harder than getting Baptists and Pentecostals together. (My apologies for the cliché.)Second, this live, national prayer included 5 minutes of prayer from men like Chuck Swindol, HENRY BLACKABY James and Shirley Dobson, and Ravi Zacharias in closing. It was broadcast live via phone hook-up in the morning (Colorado time zone), MUCH LIKE WE JOIN IN PRAYER. Dr. Dobson is attempting to get a copy of this for re-broadcast on one of his programs. Thirdly, this may be The National Religious Broadcast Network to whom Michael Joussef gave the message The Power of Weeping, featured on Sermonindex this August. I will post a link to the prayer broadcast when available. I did not hear this live prayer broadcast as I was occupied in Atlanta and prayer. It sounds like it is not all regarding the election. Here is my source (minute 18:00) that it occurred: Source link This time of prayer is being re-broadcast today 10/31/08: on Focus on the Family Focus link Prayer begins at the time mark of 6:39. I caught some of the heart of the prayer, which was not all on elections. Dobson at time mark of 16:57 National revival and renewal of spiritual fervor and a genuine Spirit of repentance. Ravi: Even impure hearts see long to see your name upheld and your glory those who hope in you Be still and know that we are God channel the heart of a King and channel a heart of a people long for your grace your name honored in mercy grant this prayer you call us to prayer. The prayer, recorded here, broadcast live on Monday 10/20/08, the day before the Atlanta Conference began.
