Vote for Jesus?

Saints,

Please check out my blog for a new post called "Vote for Jesus?"

Random thoughts on our responsibilities as Christians during this election season in the USA.

Blessings,

Jon

Never heard of Baldwin, and I disagree with most of what you wrote... but it is very thought provoking. Thanx for the link, brother.

 Re: Vote for Jesus?

Quote:
"Is God glorified with my vote?"

Personally, if I do vote, if, it will not be for Obama, he scares me. :-?

Regardless, God already has my vote and my life. Whoever comes into office, whether a tyrant or a puppy-dog, God will still have the deciding vote. Let the people vainly trust in their ballots and trust in their candidates, as for me I say,

Psalms 146
3. Do not trust in princes,
In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.

Psalms 118
8. It is better to take refuge in the LORD
Than to trust in man.

Psalms 9
10. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You,
For You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

If not one Christian ever cast a single vote ... what would it matter? God will still be glorified for He is Glorious. God will still have His way and accomplish His purposes throughout the whole earth.

If I was never disturbed again with my right to vote it would not trouble me. I am first and foremost the citizen of another Kingdom that is not of this world; much less this world system.
