It means much to “walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:16). A good man felt that he had miserably failed the Lord. He became despondent. The devil, “the accuser” of the brethren (Rev. 12:10), taunted him with the thought that he had committed the unpardonable sin. A friend of his, a minister of the Gospel, was trying to help him and was praying very earnestly for him, but he stopped this friend and said,

“No use to pray for me; I’ve crossed the deadline; I have committed the unpardonable sin.”

But his friend retorted: “God has put a definite burden for you upon my heart, and He is not going to stir me up to pray earnestly for you unless He will also stir Himself up to answer.” And that is truth. -W.C. Moore
