Unfathomable oceans of grace(Robert Murray McCheyne)"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus!" Hebrews 12:2For every look at self--take ten looks at Christ! Live near to Jesus--and all things will appear little to you in comparison with eternal realities. How many millions of dazzling pearls and gems are at this moment hidden in the deep recesses of the ocean caves. Likewise, unfathomable oceans of grace are in Christ for you. Dive and dive again--you will never come to the bottom of these depths! When you gaze upon the sun--it makes everything else dark; when you taste honey--it makes everything else tasteless. Likewise, when your soul feeds on Jesus--it takes away the sweetness of all earthly things; praise, pleasure, fleshly lusts, all lose their sweetness. Keep a continued gaze! Run, looking unto Jesus. So will the world be crucified to you--and you unto the world!

Thank you GregOh for Grace to see.God has an interest in Scotland. Robert Murray McCheyne has an interest in Scotland. So do we particularly through the coming meetings there. The Body there needs these words offered in prayer for them in these days. May all of Scotland fix their eyes on Jesus. Not unrelated, the Lord provided this heart for meetings there: I See Jesus by Aileen GilchristGod told Moses that Moses had found grace in His sight. Moses prayed, Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now THY WAY, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight... (Ex.. 33: 12b-13) Grace upon grace. Is this our desire for ourselves and our brothers and sisters? to fix our eyes on Him?
I have heard Robert Murray McCheyne quoted twice more this last week!NOBODY, nowadays preaches/references McCheyne. The last was this morning, a preacher named Alester Begg (? spelling). He also quoted "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus!" Hebrews 12:2. I am certain that this is in the heart of God for us to pray for meetings in Scotland. Their need. An open door to the death of self, to freedom from alcohol (is that a special problem there?), to the revival God has put in our hearts to cry out for.McCheyne followed Knox. Oh Father, are there no more sons in Scotland!
