Advice for English second language students

As most of you know, I have been teaching in South Korea for a few years, with a break in between. This week I have taken on a new student who is a 'buddhist' (a poor one at that, since he is a business man who drinks 5 to 6 nights a week).

I have agreed to teach him under the agreement that he studies what I ask him to and that he starts to listen to new music (Christian) and possibly some preaching. This is after he told me that he listens to horrible English musicians such as Wham, Boy George, and Duran Duran (oh dear).

He agreed to throw them away as long as I provide him with something as a replacement.

Although I am starting to download the 'Godly Music' I am wondering of more advice, especially for an ESL student, who is in his 50's, along with some preachers that are clear (Holy Spirit filled helps this) and slow enough to understand.

I know of several, but maybe some of you have experience in this area...

suggestions are greatly appreciated.
