This may only be the trigger point - to tip the balance - but if we pray . . .

Oh Krispy, you often make me laugh with your Krispyisms - but we must be serious in the Lord, even while we take delight in Him, for there are many lives hanging in the balance.

 Re:

Let's look at what Scripture has to say on the matter, the end of the world that is.

1 Thess 2v2, 'not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come,

vs3, 'Let no one deceive you by any means, for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition'

When was the man of perdition revealed?

Also, in 2 Peter 3v10 it tells us that the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat, both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

That will happen, but when God says, and God will destroy both the heavens and the earth, not just the earth.

This is nothing to worry about.

As it says in Revelation, he who is unjust, let him be unjust still, he who is filthy, let him be filthy still, he who is righteous let him be righteous still, he who is holy, let him be holy still.

In other words, who is saved when the world ends is saved, who isn't, isn't.

But for God's glory, we need to reach the lost.

 Re:

Maybe I'm being simple here but I really can't see much of an issue with this Particle Accelerator.
Some folk mentioned this machine to me a little while ago with a great concern that the scientists are trying to disprove the existence of God. I will say to anyone what I said to them and that is "Sinners trying to do away with God is nothing new!, and as they have failed to kill God in the past they will also fail in it this time and the time after that and so on".

I also would say not to worry about any possible black holes since as the popular old christian song says 'The whole world is in his (God's) hands'. Since I truly believe that he indeed has the world in his hands I therefore have no need to worry.

In fact the only thing I can really see coming out of this experiment is an even greater revelation of how vast and amazing this universe is. I must stress that I do not approve of the motives of these scientists since I would agree that the experiment is born out of a rebellion against God, however, since I know that God will always prevail and it is impossible for men succeed against the Lord, it is of no great worry in my heart.

The more scientists attempt to disprove there is a God... the more they proove Him to be very real. So I say let them experiment!

By the way, Enid said what I was saying... only a lot more eloquently.

I sure hope they have the Super Proton Synchrotron Booster calibrated accurately. We all know what happens when the kinetic energy of a proton exceeds 1.4 GeV at 72 MeV per nucleon.

Noooooobody wants that.

Yea... doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure that one out!

(by the way... what does all that mean? I didnt do well in physics class!)
