I will be praying dear sister. Just keep your eyes upon Him - He is in the eye of the storm - where it is peaceful and calm.
I am praying, sister. Pray also for my grandparents in Alexandria, LA. They will probably feel some of the effects of Gustav.~Joy
Can this be God's Judgement on a nation that is not repenting of its sins? Katrina was not thought of such for many but could this storm that is doing the same thing be a warning call to America?God's mercy is His judgements. May we repent of all the sins in our lifes and start living godly lifes that are in accordance with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes could be. However Hurricanes are like the stock market, hard to predict. Already we are seeing that it is not as bad as many thought it would be. Answer to prayers? Probably so. Also God confounds the wisdom of the wise,(weatherman). God bless, John
It looks like Baton Rouge was hit by the storm, so let's keep praying for Danielle and others in that area. The city my grandparents are in, Alexandria, is without power and the eye of the storm is probably passing through right now. Please pray for them to stay safe and for the power to come back on soon.http://www.nola.com/hurricane/index.ssf/2008/09/baton_rouge_neighborhood_blast.html
Thank you everyone for the prayers. This storm was the worst Baton Rouge has ever experienced, surpassing Katrina, Andrew and even Betsy. It was reported that the eye of the storm passed within 10 miles of us. I havent been able to make it back to my house yet to check for damages, but hope to be able to get back there today. Two trees were totally uprooted in my parents backyard. One of them fell on a corner of the house, but thankfully did not cause much damage. 99% of our city is without power. I suspect the only reason we have power at my parents house is because they live close to the electric companys administrative office.I dont know that Ive ever experienced anything so frightening. However, right before the storm began to hit us yesterday morning the Lord comforted me with this Scripture The Lord is at hand; be anxious for nothing. We are thankful that we made it through the storm. Please pray for our city. We have a lot of work to do. Danielle
Praise the Lord that you and your family are safe! It is highly likely that the Lord has the electricity working where you are at because He knows it will bring you comfort. Oh how He cares for His children!Hopefully the others that you mentioned will check in and let us know that they are fine also.
