May the grace of God be upon us all! I wanted to write to share a little of whats in my heart. I lost sleep tonight. I was about to sleep and starting thinking about the condition of American Christianity. It was horrifying as I started to think about some of the false converts I know, and the eternity in hell that awaits them if they dont repent. As some of you know we just got back from preaching in a place where some people still dont know about the life of Jesus, a place where most people dont own a single bible. But yet in America there is so much light, so many bibles, so much truth, but yet so much darkness.
And oh what great judgement awaits her, if she doesnt repent. I know America wont repent as a whole but my prayers are that some of you will stop compromising and for those who arent born again to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ who will pardon your sins and make you a new creature. I started to think of how anyone can just say they are a Christian and be so accepted in churches, no one thinks to question if these people truly are children of God. I started to think of this young man I know, hes a rapper, hes a secular rapper but yet has some songs about God. But yet he raps at churches around the country simply because some of his songs talk about Christ. Hes on the platform at churches ministering to people, and people think hes this strong Christian whos sold out for the Gospel. But little do they know that hes addicted to pornography, and living in fornication with his live in girlfriend! I also started thinking about this young woman I know, who I also know very well. She loves Ray Comfort and Way of the Master. She preaches a solid Gospel message, loves to pass out tracts to everyone. But yet goes clubbing on weekends, not just to witness she actually dances to all the abominable music in these night clubs. At the same time she left her husband because he lost his job and wasnt making enough money for her. And to top it she promotes topless pictures of her self all over the Internet, at the same time on her website she promotes The Way of the Master. Im not writing this to gossip about them, for I have talked to them both about these issues over and over again but both refuse to repent, they say they believe in Jesus and are saved. After thinking about this I was so grieved, these are the type of people who lay hands at you and pray for you at churches, they are people who many look up to because they seem to be so on fire for God. And its not just them theres so many people like them. I started thinking is there people other people I know who live a double life. I just could not contain this and decided to write to warn those who might be deceived. Jesus said, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Mat 7:21-23). Friends dont be deceived. You can call Jesus your Lord, and do many things in His name, but if you are found living in sin He will cast you away from His presence! True faith in Jesus produces a holy life, a life that does not imitate this world but imitates Jesus! To go to heaven you cannot live in sin any more: When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, your lives will produce these evil results: sexual immorality, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, participation in demonic activities, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, divisions, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in your own little group, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other kinds of sin. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.(Gal 5:19-21). He is coming soon, very soon. Are you ready? Are your hands clean? Is your heart pure? Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. (Psa 24:3-5).
Let me remind you the bride of Christ is His church. Are you part of His Church, not a building that you go on Sundays but are you part of those who have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb, those who have kept their robes white and clean without spot or blemish? I remember on my wedding day, Oh how careful I was to keep my dress white as snow I would not get near anything that would stain it. How do you behave Christian? How white are you garments? White? Pure? Or is there a little spot? A little wrinkle?
I will quote from this great hymn:
Are you washed in the blood,In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb?Are your garments spotless?Are they white as snow?Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?Are you walking daily by the Saviors side?Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb;
Theres a fountain flowing for the soul unclean,
O be washed in the blood of the Lamb!
This is an exhortation for us all, may we all be ready to receive the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords! Thrust yourself upon the Savior be washed in His blood, Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin, theres a fountain flowing for the soul unclean. O be washed in the blood of the Lamb!
