The Spolis of War(The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom)

Pro 11:2 Pride comes, then shame comes; but with the lowly is wisdom.

To be able to discern evil and act accordingly flows from the mind of God. His wisdom is like gold and is rooted in our reverence and fear of Him. When the reality of this world is confronted, this is when all hell breaks loose. It happens in the natural, it also happens in the spiritual.

When the gates of hell are stormed, then the battle is always bloody. It takes brave and stouthearted men to face the enemy and keep moving forward as hell is unleashed around them. When you begin to take the high ground of holiness and take back the land that was promised to you, do not be surprised to find the enemy entrenched in his postion. He has been there for a long time and he has taken measures to defend his position. What he has gained he will not give up easily, and you must be willing to die in order to take it back. This will require you to be sold out, only those sold out to the battle will recover what is rightfully theirs.

When the allies stormed the beaches of Normandy, hell was undoubtedly unleashed and the sacrifices were great. Yet, if a beachhead was to be established and the land retaken, then absolute resolve was needed, a complete commitment to the cause. The enemy never lets go without a fight. And when the enemy knows that it is a fight unto the death, that there can be no compromise, then the battle is ferocious.

Spiritual battles are no less ferocious. When we have absolute resolve to destroy the enemies influence within is, when we have complete commitment to this cause, then the battle will be equally ferocious, for the enemy knows that it is a fight unto the death. There can be no compromise with our enemy, for as long as he (Satan) survives, then he wins.

This will be true in personal battles with sins that easily beset us, this will also be true in corporate battles when we strive to re-take an area for the Lord. In the personal battles the enemy will scream in your ear "Your not going back before the Lord with that again are you? Your a hypocrite, your no better than the religious man, you pray and you fail and you pray and you fail, you should just minimise the sin in your life. Stay away from the Lord until you get that better under control. At the very least, hide it from every one because if you do not, they will think your a phony and not very spiritual."

You must know brothers and sisters, its the coming before the Lord that is the answer to your problems. The enemy certainly knows that. He will try and convince you to just let things rest and maybe it will get better. In actual fact , coming before the Lord, coming into His presence, being naked before Him, sacrificing our pride on the alter, getting real with the Lord is the answer to your problem.

It may even lead to you acknowledging your sins to a brother or a sister in Christ. What that does is bring it out from under the rock and expose it to the light. Let the Lord lead you in this. Be sensitive to who you would confess to, but their is a spiritual principal in all of this. It is the power of being released from condemnation and fear. It is fearing what the Lord thinks about us rather than fearing what man thinks.

Its about being transparent in our walk with Him. Its about taking back ground and being more effective for Him. Its about the fact that darkness must flee when it is exposed to light. This is the battle and it mostly takes place in the mind, the flesh demanding that it be protected at all costs, not wanting to be "humiliated," or "humbled," in the sight of man.

Churchill knew that there could be no compromise with evil, for evils only purpose is to destroy. Complete unconditional surrender and destruction of the enemy was Churchill's policy. Our policy as Christians when dealing with the enemy must be exactly the same, for the enemy only needs a foothold, and therein lies the seeds of the destruction of our walk with Him, we will be like the Israelites who did not destroy all their enemies. Those undestroyed enemies plagued them all the days of their lives.

May we rise up, with courage and resolve, and storm the gates of hell in our lives, let there be no compromise, no ceasefire, no deals until we have grasped the victory that has already been accomplished for us. He has led, He humiliated and destroyed our enemy on Calvary, let us follow Him and only then will we enjoy the spoils of war, freedom, joy and peace.
